URBAN REGENERATION IN MILAN
88 LOCAL DISTRICTS
MARCH 2012
MILAN’S URBAN DEVELOPMENT PLAN
Type of assignment: project consultancy for the new Masterplan of the city.
Date: 2008/2009.
Place: Milano.
“The consultancy work has primarily developed around the development of the city
through projects at a local scale. The upshot was a map in which zones are no longer
delineated according to administrative borders but rather on the basis of social
and cultural identity patterns. These areas have been called Local Identity Nuclei
(LIN). 88 LINs were identified each with is own set of critical issues but also
potential for developement”.
