FATTURA EXPORT The Commercial Invoice is supplied by
the exporter to provide the price,
description and other particulars of the
transaction. The terms of sale, known as
the incoterm, is to appear on the invoice,
i.e. FOB, CIF, for Customs valuation
purpose. The commercial invoice is a legal
document that is to be signed by the
responsible exporting party attesting to
the veracity of the information being
declared.
The packing list serves to itemize the
details of a shipment. It is provided by the
exporter and is a standard document that
accompanies the commercial invoice. The
packing list facilitates the customs
clearance process for the customs broker,
since often times a customs entry must
provide itemized costs and weights of
goods packaged within each box.

DOCUMENTI DI TRASPORTO The airway bill (AWB) is a nonnegotiable
transport document issued by
the air carrier or by the forwarder which
serves to indicate acceptance of goods for
carriage and the terms and conditions of
the carriage. Since the AWB is nonnegotiable,
it does not evidence title to
the goods.
AWB's are issued in 3 originals, one for
the carrier, one for the consignee, and
one for the shipper. Therefore, a letter of
credit for an airshipment should not
require presentation of more than one
original, nor should it specify a full set of
original airway bills.
The AWB is issued by the air carrier in the
country of embarkation. Generally, a copy
of the AWB is presented to customs upon
entry.
