fine degli anni venti si erano già
ottenuti notevoli progressi grazie
E interessante notare come otto
It is an interesting coincidence that eight years elapsed between the first
cÌnematographic experiment and the projection of the first film, and the
first television experiment and the first broadcast. In other words,
Eastman manufactured the first celluloid film in 1887 and Lumière
Projected his first film publicly on December 28th, 1895, while Baird
Public, two hours a day, six days a week.
And when this broadcasting corporation officially came into being, the
Television's great asset is that it is able to transmit any type of event live,
whether it is the news, sport, or an event of world significance (like the
American moonlanding in August '69). The transmission is
instantaneous, but the image is rarely of excellent quality, especially if it
is shown on a screen larger that that of a normal T.V. set; in fact, in the
latter case, the quality is often poor and unacceptable.
The Cinema, however, is just the opposite. As a medium, it cannot
communicate events live, as time is required for processing and printing
the film in the laboratories On the other hand, when one speaks of
Cinema, one automatically thinks of fictitious events, and so each part of
