posto ad una selva oscura e a
notti piene d'insidie.
Pasolini vive il passaggio fra
parola e immagine (cinema)
come un potenziale terreno
vergine nel quale continuare
un'inesausta ricerca di moduli
espressivi che in fotografia si
traducono in molti dei suoi film
nei contrasti luce ombra del
Bianco e Nero, dove la luce
stessa diventa sinonimo di
angoscia, straniamento e
desolazione dell'animo.
Man-Ray dalla pittura alla
fotografia dice: "la fotografia è il
mezzo piè veloce che ho trovato
per esprimermi; in pochi secondi
faccio con la fotografia quello
che potrei realizzare in sei mesi
con le mie mani; è la luce che
lavora al posto mio".
Luce quindi come fonte
d'ispirazione e immagine poetica
in diverse forme d'arte.
Non è forse a caso che la
Locandina
Apocalypse Now"
psicologia junghiana usa il
termine "ombra" come metafora
per indicare quelle ansie e dati
insopportabili da accettare, tutto
quel "Corpus" che una
personalità in conflitto rifiuta di
elaborare razionalmente e di
analizzare coscientemente,
tenendolo appunto in ombra;
sarà parte del processo
psicoanalitico secondo Jung
portare alla luce appunto le
problematiche che possono
dilaniare l'animo umano.
L'ombra come tenebra,
negazione della vita, ma luce
anche come linguaggio d'amore
e di vita. Georgia O'Keefe
parlando della morte di suo
marito, grande fotografo, dice
"per me Steigliz è stato il sole e
per ritrovarlo ho potuto soltanto
dipingere immagini così
luminose da annullare il buio
che mi è rimasto dentro".
Con il processo della lettura non
facciamo altro che evocare
immagini attraverso le parole.
Calvino definisce i personaggi
delle poesie di Cavalcanti "come
sospiri, raggi luminosi, immagini
ottiche" in cui la leggerezza della
lirica del poeta viene definita con
l'intangibilità dei corpuscoli
luminosi.
Sempre Calvino sostiene che
Leopardi ha compiuto il
miracolo, di togliere al
linguaggio ogni peso fino a farlo
assomigliare alla luce lunare, le
numerose apparizioni della luna
nelle sue poesie occupano pochi
versi ma bastano ad illuminare
tutto il componimento di quella
luce o a proiettarvi l'ombra della
sua assenza.
"0 cara luna al cui tranquillo
raggio danzan le lepri nelle
selve... felice inoltre l'intuizione
dello scrittore, nel trovare un filo
che collega la luna, Leopardi e
Newton colui che ha posto le
basi dell'ottica fisica e della
teoria nella natura corpuscolare
della luce.
Ed è nei versi dello "Zibaldone"
dove meglio si può cogliere tutta
la forza poetica della della luce,
emblema essa stessa di una
ricerca di immagine, di identità,
di dare un corpo all'idea astratta
e angosciosa d'infinito "la luce
del sole o della luna, veduta in
un luogo dov'essi non si vedano,
e non si scopra la sorgente della
luce; in un luogo solamente in
parte illuminato da essa luce, il
riflesso di detta luce...; il
penetrare di detta luce in luoghi
dorella divenga incerta e
impedita e non bene si distingua,
come attraverso un canneto, in
una selva, pe li balconi
socchiusi...
"... È piacevolissima e
sentimentalissima la stessa luce
veduta nelle città dov'ella è
BUSTER
Locandina del film
"The Cameraman"
"0 beloved moon, in whose tranquil light the hares of the woodland
dance... " Calvino also goes on to establish a link — and very aptly so —
between the moon, Leopardi and Newton, who evolved the Corpuscular
Theory of Light, and laid the foundations for the science of Optics.
It is in the verses of "Zibaldone " that light is espressed with full poetic
force, symbolizing a continual exploration of the image, a search for
identity, and an attempt to render concrete the abstract idea of infinity
and the anxieties it provokes: "...the light of the sun or moon, seen in a
place where they themselves cannot be seen, where the source cannot be
determined; in a place which is only partially illuminated by their light,
or a reflection of their light..; the penetration of that same light in places
where it becomes indistinct, blocked, or barely discernible... asina
bamboo grove, a forest, or through the half-closed doors of a balcony...
"... One experiences incredible pleasure and emotion in seeing that same
light in cities where it is interspersed with shadows; where, in many
places, the light is contrasted with darkness; where, in other areas, the
light seems to gradually fade as it does on the sloping rooftops; and where
some places are completely hidden from the sun's brilliant rays ".
Light, therefore, expressed with the written word, in novels, and in poetry,
evoking nostalgia and memories; and as invisible particles from which
fantasy creates her images.
This way of creating images is common to both the cinematographic and
written language; when we read a book, especially if it really absorbs lis,
we visualize what is happing in the story, as if we were watching a film
In the cinema, these imaginings begin as words created by the
scriptwriter's fantasy, which later manifest themselves as images fixed
on film. This, thanks to 'Jie light, to those insubstantial particles that
make fantasy, imagination, poetry, photography and cinema (in other
