amano affermare i tenutari del<br />
capitale, che possa allontanare<br />
solo per pochi attimi le masse<br />
dalla dura realtà del lavoro, quel<br />
tempo sufficiente ad<br />

Disagreement between the various agents, results in the homologization of<br />
all ideas, to the point that they become utterly worn out and banal, after<br />
which they are constantly rehashed. Thus, due to a series of unavoidable<br />
accidents, it is the producer who emerges as the effective author, who says<br />
what will be filmed and hew, while the person who either obtains or pats up<br />
the money, becomes the sole moderator and controller of ideas. And as<br />
money is now money's god, and constitutes the ruling ideology of the 20th<br />
Century, the film is made according to this philosophy, without any<br />
hesitation, that is, as quickly as possible and, above all, for people who<br />
mustn't think! Escapist entertainment, as the people who hold the capital<br />
like to define it, which allows the masses to escape momentarily from the<br />
grim reality of work, but just long enough to enable them to sufficiently<br />
recharge, so that they can continue to sacrifice themselves daily, to increase<br />
productivity and boost company profits.<br />
In the audiovisual field, this operation is carried out by constantly<br />
developing equipment that does the job faster and more cheaply, arriving<br />
at the maximum of technological invention which, in exchange for a<br />
mediocre product, which is nevertheless acceptable to the public,<br />
guarantees rapid realization, distribution and consumption<br />
And this is why it is so difficult to improve the quality of the projection of<br />
films in the cinema, in spite of all the polemics indulged in and provisions<br />
made by the State! The problem is not so much the Exhibitor's negligence,<br />
but rather a lack of responsibility, which causes him to react aggressively to<br />
the negative stimuli of an economic system which, in fact, gives him no<br />
other choice.<br />
The love of beautiful images, of well-composed photography becomes a mere<br />
pretext, and anyone who still actually yearns for those things of times gone<br />
by, gives a little cry and falls into a dead faint, like the young maidens of
