FOR NON ITALIAN-SPEAKING STUDENTS, RESEARCHERS AND PROFESSORS OF<br />
UNIVERSITÀ DELLA SVIZZERA ITALIANA ONLY<br />
During Autumn Semester 2013, Università della Svizzera italiana offers an <strong>Italian</strong> <strong>language</strong> study<br />
programme organized in ten modules: two intensive <strong>courses</strong> of two weeks each be<strong>for</strong>e the begin of<br />
the <strong>semester</strong> at both Absolute Beginners and Intermediate level and eight semestral <strong>courses</strong> from level<br />
A1 until level C1 of the European Council reference frame. All non <strong>Italian</strong>-speaking students,<br />
researchers and professors of Università della Svizzera italiana are invited to participate free of charge.<br />
The application is online (please enrol only if seriously interested). More in<strong>for</strong>mation is to be found<br />
in the “Most frequent asked questions” (FAQS).<br />
Any updates concerning the <strong>courses</strong> will be communicated in this web-page. To apprehend at what<br />
level you are, use the Self-assessment Grid of the European Language Portfolio. The teacher will<br />
address you to the correct course after the first lesson in case you chose the wrong level.<br />

1) PREPARATIVE INTENSIVE COURSE FOR ABSOLUTE BEGINNERS (two weeks)<br />

get to learn the social and cultural environment of the <strong>Italian</strong>-speaking part of Switzerland (two<br />

Contenuti del corso: durante il corso verranno letti racconti, articoli e testi letterari. Grande<br />
importanza verrà data alla lettura e all’analisi di alcuni brani di Natalia Ginzburg e alcuni racconti di<br />
Dino Buzzati.<br />
Argomenti grammaticali: passato remoto, l’uso dei tempi al passato, dal discorso diretto al<br />
discorso indiretto, dalla <strong>for</strong>ma attiva alla <strong>for</strong>ma passiva, periodo ipotetico.<br />
Obiettivi del corso: conoscere strutture linguistiche più complesse e comprendere testi letterari e<br />
in<strong>for</strong>mativi lunghi. Esprimere in modo spontaneo opinioni e idee.<br />

13) Avanzato<br />

Orario: 2 ore alla settimana, tutti i lunedì dalle 17:30 alle 19:00<br />

Contenuti del corso: durante il corso verranno letti racconti, articoli e testi letterari particolarmente<br />
significativi collegati in parte anche alla realtà culturale ticinese. Grande importanza verrà data<br />
all’analisi di alcuni racconti di Italo Calvino, alla conversazione in aula e alla stesura di alcuni testi.<br />
Verranno approfondite diverse possibilità di esprimersi tramite frasi subordinate dichiarative,<br />
consecutive, concessive, ipotetiche e il discorso indiretto.<br />
Argomenti grammaticali: aspetti della grammatica di base che creano problemi anche a studenti di<br />
un livello medio alto, come i nomi composti, le doppie consonanti e i connettivi.<br />
Obiettivi del corso: conoscere strutture linguistiche più complesse e comprendere testi letterari e<br />
in<strong>for</strong>mativi lunghi. Esprimere in modo spontaneo opinioni e idee.<br />
