RIZZOLI ORTOPEDIA OGGI<br />
Nel 1984 le Officine Ortopediche si trasformano in<br />
Società per Azioni ed iniziano un’opera di profondo<br />
rinnovamento tecnologico. In questi anni la<br />
credibilità scientifica dell’azienda è confermata dalla<br />
partecipazione a dei progetti di ricerca nazionali ed<br />
internazionali, tra i quali sono degni di menzione gli<br />
studi sulla biomeccanica, sulle tecnologie riabilitative,<br />
sui prodotti per patologie neuromuscolari e sui<br />
biomateriali. Nell'ambito di questi progetti, <strong>Rizzoli</strong><br />
realizza prodotti per favorire la deambulazione a<br />
pazienti con deficit neuromuscolari, materiale da<br />
impianto bioriassorbibile, per traumatologia e<br />
chirurgia ortopedica. Dal 1996 le Officine Ortopediche<br />
sono la più grande azienda privata italiana del settore,<br />
l’unica presente sull’intero territorio nazionale con<br />
una rete di filiali e affiliati ed oltre 90 punti di<br />
assistenza, ubicati presso ospedali, cliniche e centri<br />
riabilitativi. Nel 2001 le Officine mutano il proprio<br />
nome in <strong>Rizzoli</strong> <strong>Ortopedia</strong> e passano, nel 2004, sotto<br />
il controllo di Seconda Investimenti Spa, divenendo un<br />
gruppo presente in tutti i settori dell'ortopedia e della<br />
riabilitazione grazie ad alcune importanti acquisizioni.<br />

In 1984, Officine Ortopediche became a shareholder<br />
company, and thorough technological renewal took<br />
place. During recent years, the scientific credibility of<br />
our company was confirmed by its taking part in<br />
national and international research projects: mention<br />
should be made of studies on biomechanics, on rehab<br />
technologies, on products for neuromuscular<br />
pathologies and on biomaterials. In the context of these<br />
projects, <strong>Rizzoli</strong> makes products designed to favour the<br />
ambulation of patients suffering from neuromuscular<br />
deficit, material for bio-absorbable implants, for<br />
traumatology and orthopaedic surgery. Ever since<br />
1996, Officine Ortopediche has been Italy’s largest<br />
private company working in this field, and the only one<br />
which is present throughout the country, with a<br />
network of branches and affiliates and more than 90<br />
service centers, located at hospitals, clinics and rehab<br />
centres. In 2001, Officine changed its name to <strong>Rizzoli</strong><br />
<strong>Ortopedia</strong> and – in 2004 – came under the control of the<br />
Seconda Investment SpA, and becoming an enterprise<br />
working in all the fields of orthopaedia and<br />
rehabilitation by virtue of some important acquisitions.
