I moderni impianti di blending-plants hanno una
grande capacità produttiva in grado di soddisfare
qualunque richiesta.
Punto di forza della SYNECO è il laboratorio di
analisi chimico-fisica attrezzato con le più sofisticate
apparecchiature di analisi e controllo della
qualità di lubrificanti, additivi, carburanti, anche in
collaborazione con altri laboratori italiani e stranieri.
I PRODOTTI
La SYNECO produce un vasta gamma di prodotti,
indirizzando la propria produzione verso la qualità
assoluta, dai lubrificanti per motori Diesel e
benzina a quelli per motori a 2 tempi, oli per circuiti
idraulici, additivi e prodotti speciali per l'industria,
l'agricoltura e per il movimento terra.
IL MARKETING
La SYNECO opera nel mercato avvalendosi di
moderne strategie, articolando la sua struttura
commerciale attraverso ben definiti canali di vendita,
il più importante dei quali è quello della Rete
dei Concessionari Syneco, dando la massima
importanza alle attività di comunicazione, pubblicità
e promozione.
LA RETE
Oltre 4O Concessionari Syneco operano sul territorio
nazionale e distribuendo i prodotti Syneco in
Italia e all’estero.
I Concessionari Syneco sono organizzati in modo
tale da poter offrire rapide consegne dei prodotti
ed una assistenza tecnica specializzata.
La Syneco opera anche sui mercati esteri, tra i
quali la Grecia, Spagna, Francia e in Africa.
IL SERVICE
Una buona lubrificazione contribuisce a mantenere
efficiente il macchinario ed allungare la durata
in esercizio.
La SYNECO oltre a garantire l'alta qualità dei
suoi prodotti ha istituito una serie di servizi di assistenza
tecnica denominati ANALISI COMPARATI-
VA, SERVICE 2000, SERVICE SYNECO-CHECK-
UP e SERVICE SYNECO HOT.
Tramite queste quattro iniziative la SYNECO è in
grado di fornire dati di controllo e verifica sul
mantenimento dell'efficienza e sullo stato di salute
del macchinario.
PRODUCTION
Modern blending plants have a huge productive
capacity and are, therefore, capable of meeting
all kinds of demands.
A strong point of SYNECO is the chemical - physical
testing laboratory, equipped with the most
sophisticated devices for the testing and checking
of the quality of lubricants, additives and fuels.
The lab also takes advantage of the collaboration
with other Italian and foreign laboratories.
THE PRODUCTS
SYNECO manufactures a wide range of products,
with a single goal in mind: top quality. This
applies to gasoline and Diesel engine lubricants
as much as to two-stroke engine lubricants, additives
and special products for use in industry, agriculture
and earth-moving equipment.
MARKETING
SYNECO avails of the most modern marketing
strategies, by articulating its business structure
through well-defined sales channels, the most
important of which is the Syneco Dealer Network,
and by emphasizing activities such as communication,
advertising and promotions.
THE NETWORK
Over 40 Syneco Dealers operate throughout the
country and see to the distribution of Syneco products
over the whole of Italy.
The Syneco Dealers are organized so as to offer
prompt delivery and specialized technical assistance.
Syneco is also active in a number of foreign
markets, including Greece, the UK, Switzerland,
several African and Middle-Eastern countries.
SERVICE
Effective lubrication helps maintain your machinery
in good working order and ensures longer
working life.
Besides guaranteeing top quality for its products,
SYNECO has introduced a predictive assistance
service, called SYNECO CHECK-UP, and an
inspection and monitoring service, referred to as
SYNECO-TEST.
Through these two initiatives, featuring a full set of
direct inspections and laboratory tests, SYNECO is
in the best possible position to provide data and
advice concerning maintenance.

Il campione di olio usato, e per confronto un campione di olio uguale, ma nuovo, verranno analizzati e sottoposti ad una serie di test di laboratorio standard, quali:

• TITOLAZIONI - (TAN; TBN; KF);
• PLASMA - (controllo dei metalli e dei pacchetti di additivazione)

Valutate le caratteristiche dell’olio campione, nelle due situazioni nuovo/usato, verrà stilata la scheda tecnica.
A queso punto, il laboratorio SYNECO formulerà un prodotto specifico sostitutivo.
Il nuovo fluido lubrificante SYNECO sarà sottoposto ad una serie di prove pratiche che ricreano le medesime situazioni di lavoro.

“SERVICE 2000 Professional Consulting”is a technical consulting service based on the chemical/ physical analysis of a used oil sample, taken directly from the machine while in use
without stopping the production cycle.
The sample of used oil and for comparison a sample of the same but new oil will be analysed and submitted to a series of standard laboratory tests, such as:
• FT.IR – (to identify the basic components and to detect any contaminating agents);
• TITRATIONS - (TAN; TBN;KF);
• PLASMA – ( checking of metals and additive packages);
• COMPARISON (new and used oil);
• METALLOGRAPHIC ANALYSIS (scanning by means of electronic microscope).
Once the technical characteristics have been evaluated both for the new and the old sample, we will issue a technical sheet.
Then the SYNECO laboratory will formulate a specific substitute product.
A series of practical tests simulating the same operation conditions will be carried out on the new SYNECO lubricant fluid.
After completion of the test the same standard laboratory tests will be carried out on the SYNECO fluid and a new technical sheet will be issued.
A comparison will be made between the two technical sheets in order to prove the suitability for the application and the ameliorative characteristics of the Syneco fluid, which will enable us to
achieve higher performances.
After some time in use a constant monitoring of the SYNECO product will be made by means of the “CHECK-UP Service ” and by processing the collected data in order to get a picture in real

basato sull’analisi di un campione di olio lubrificante prelevato durante la
fase di manutenzione.
L’olio lubrificante circolando all’interno del motore, degli organi meccanici
e nelle servoassistenze, raccoglie e porta con sé informazioni sulle condizioni
in cui gli organi meccanici lavorano.
Il rilevamento di queste modificazioni chimiche, organolettiche e strutturali
delle molecole, attraverso l’analisi di un campione prelevato, permette di
conoscere il reale stato di salute dell’organo meccanico sotto controllo.
Il servizio CHECK-UP totalmente supportato dall’organizzazione tecnica

di olio, il laboratorio SYNECO procede alla loro analisi avvalendosi di
sofisticate apparecchiature di indagine chimico-fisica, estrapola un

Il “Service SYNECO CHECK•UP” consiste in un controllo periodico delle
caratteristiche chimico-fisiche del lubrificante usato prelevato a scadenze
programmate, durante tutta la vita operativa dell’automezzo o della maccina
e nell’inserimento delle stesse in un elaboratore da cui sarà possibile
estrarre tutta la “Storia” dell’organo meccanico durante le varie fasi del
suo utilizzo.
Sono considerati:
1) viscosità a diverse temperature 40°C-100°C, ASTM D445 e indice di viscosità
ASTM D2270;
2) Total Base Number (TBN) secondo ASTM D664 o TAN secondo ASTM
D664;
3) controllo spettrofotometrico ad emissione (Plasma) dei metalli.
Il significato di questi rilievi chimico-fisici è il seguente:
a) le diverse caratteristiche viscosimetriche stabiliscono la vita utile del lubrificante
utilizzato in rapporto alle specifiche condizioni operative ed ambientali,
ad esempio una caduta delle viscosità ad alta temperatura è indice della rottura
delle molecole del lubrificante, inizio di fenomeni ossidativi e perdita del
potere lubrificante; la variazione della viscosità potrebbe indicare la presenza
di carburante o liquido di raffreddamento nel lubrificante.
b) Alcuni costruttori (Caterpillar) stabilivano che il TBN doveva avere il valore
almeno 20 volte superiore al contenuto di Zolfo nel gasolio usato. Tale indicazione
ha oggi ridotta importanza, poichè il valore dello Zolfo è molto basso e
si arriverà ad eliminarlo.
Rivestono invece molta importanza le ceneri solfatate sull’olio nuovo, il cui
valore è limitato per protezione della componentistica e nel ricircolo e controllo
dei gas di scarico del motore Diesel installata a seguito delle Norme antinquinamento
Euro 3/4.
Il TAN indica il valore dell’acidità che si è creata nell’olio per effetto dell’azione
ossidante dell’aria sulle molecole, favorita dalla temperatura e da azioni
catalizzanti di metalli; i prodotti ossidanti danno origine a depositi sottoforma
di lacche, morchie e incrementi della viscosità.
c) CONTROLLO dei diversi metalli presenti nel lubrificante (es.: Fe, Cu, Sn, Cr,
Al, ecc.) effettuato sia a livello qualitativo che quantitativo, fornisce invece una
traccia del luogo in cui i fenomeni di usura si manifestano con maggiore intensità
ad esempio, tracce di Alluminio e Ferro nel lubrificante, possono indicare
problemi di usura nell’accoppiamento camicia-pistone; Rame e Stagno segnalano
usura sulle bronzine o scambiatore di calore.
d) Ulteriori verifiche sono fatte per il rilevamento di inquinanti:
-diluizione da gasolio, benzina, presenza di antigelo proveniente dal circuito
di raffreddamento, acqua-condensa proveniente dal cricuito di raffreddamento
o dall’ambiente, presenza di Silicio dal filtro per aria, per controllo usure, stabilità
dell’emulsione, durezza acqua per controllo del fluido di taglio metalli.
e) Il “programma di lubrificazione assistita”, introdotto sul lubrificante Syneco
per motore Diesel Euro 3/4, amplia il Service Syneco Check-up con “Integra”
metodo FT.IR consente di verificare:
1) contenuto di residui carboniosi provenienti da SOOT (fuliggine) per combustione
incompleta di gasolio: il SOOT modifica la viscosità dell’olio, creando
depositi nelle varie parti del motore;
2) diluizione da gasolio e abbassamento della viscosità con minore protezione
da usura;
3) presenza di antigelo nell’olio motore, conseguente inspessimento per energica
azione ossidante e difficoltà nella circolazione del lubrificante, intasamento
filtri;
4) protezione antiusura per albero a camme, ingranaggi distribuzione, fascie
elastiche.

SPECTROPHOTOMETRIC ANALYSIS
The “SYNECO CHECK•UP Service” is based on periodical monitoring of
the chemical-physical characteristics of the lubricant used, with samples
taken at pre-established intervals, throughout the entire operating life of
the vehicle and on the computerization of the resulting data, so as to have
a detailed, all-round “history” of the vehicle during the various stages of
its employment.
Such data include:
1) Viscosity at different temperatures ranging from 40°C to 100°C, ASTM
D445 and viscosity index ASTM D2270;
2) Total Base Number (TBN) according to ASTM D664, or TAN according
to ASTM D664;
3) Spectrophotometric atomic absorption monitoring of all metal parts.
The significance of these chemical-physical analyses is as follows:
a) the different viscosimetric characteristics help determine the service life
of the lubricant as a function of specific operating and environmental conditions;
for instance, a sharp drop in viscosity at high temperature indicates
a break-down in the molecules of the lubricant, initial oxidation and
decline in lubricating power; a change in the degree of viscosity may be
an indication of the presence of fuel or coolant in the lubricant.
b) Several manufacturers (Caterpillar) established that TBN had to have a
value of at least 20 times higher that the Sulphur content in the diesel oil
used. Currently, this indication is of lesser importance, since the Sulphur
content is minimal and it will soon be possible to eliminate it.
Sulphated ashes, instead, are much more important, since their content is
limited, aiming at the protection of components and in the recycling and
control of the Diesel engine exhaust fumes, imposed with the Euro 3/4
anti-pollution Norms.
The TAN indicates the value of the acidity that was created in the oil due
to the air oxidising effect over the molecules; due to temperature and the
catalyst actions of metals, the oxidising elements generate deposits in the
form of lakes, sludges and increases in viscosity.
c) MONITORING of the various metals contained in the lubricant (e.g.: Fe,
Cu, Sn, Cr, Al, etc.) in terms both of quality and quantity, gives a good
indication of the areas which are most subject to wear; for instance, traces
of Aluminium and Iron in the lubricant may imply wear in the jacket-piston
fit; Copper and Tin indicate wear of the bushings or heat exchanger.
d) Further tests are carried out for the detection if polluting elements:
- dilution from diesel oil, petrol, presence of anti-freeze drawn from the
cooling system, water-condensation derived from the cooling system or
from the environment, presence of Silicon from the air filter, to check for
possible wear, stability of the emulsion, hardness of the water for controlling
the cutting of metals.
e) The “assisted lubrication programme”, introduced on the Syneco lubricant
for the Euro _ Diesel engine, extends the Syneco Check-up Service
with the “Integra” FT.IR method, which allows checking of the following:
1) carbon residue contents deriving from SOOT and due to the incomplete
combustion of the diesel oil: SOOT modifies the oil’s viscosity, generating
deposits in various parts of the engine;
2) dilution due to the diesel oil and lowering of viscosity with reduced protection
against wear;
3) presence of anti-freeze in the engine oil, with consequent thickening
due to the marked oxidising action and difficulty in the lubricant’s circulation,
clogging of filters;
4) protection against wear for camshaft, distribution gears and piston
rings.

Tutte queste informazioni, contenute in una banca dati, sono a disposizione
del Cliente che viene, di volta in volta, informato sul “progressivo” delle
nostre indagini.
Il contenuto tecnologico del “Service SYNECO CHECK•UP” è molto elevato
perchè si avvale delle più moderne apparecchiature elettroniche di indagine
chimico-fisica collegate fra loro e ad un elaboratore centrale che ne
estrae tutte le indicazioni possibili sullo stato di utilizzo dell’automezzo
sotto controllo.
Di conseguenza un rilievo statistico, programmato e preciso di questi
metalli, consente di prevedere la manutenzione ed il fermo macchina
prima che l’usura si manifesti in modo drammatico, portando alla rottura
del mezzo o del meccanismo durante il servizio.
Un autocarro, che mediamente percorre 100.000 Km all’anno avrà a
disposizione dopo tale periodo un certo numero di analisi che contribuiscono
a stabilire lo stato di usura del motore in quel periodo e nel giro di
4 o 5 anni si avranno a disposizione informazioni che aiuteranno a decidere
come orientare un eventuale intervento di manutenzione predittiva,
prevenendo così un eventuale intervento di manutenzione a rottura (che
blocca l’attività aziendale) o posticipando un intervento di manutenzione
preventiva (eccessivamente onerosa).
In particolari casi le analisi applicate al settore industria possono prevedere
anche il rilievo del contenuto di sostanze estranee all’olio idraulico, che
inquinandolo ne riducono la purezza ed il regolare funzionamento di valvole
proporzionali.

on the most advanced electronic chemical-physical research systems, both
interconnected and linked with a mainframe computer which provides all
possible information concerning the operating conditions of the vehicle
under inspection.
Consequently, an accurate, carefully planned, statistical survey of these
metals offers the opportunity to predict maintenance and down-time, before
wear shows dramatically resulting in vehicle or mechanism breakdown
during operation.
A truck that covers on average 100.000 km a year will rely, after such
period, on a given number of analyses which will help determine engine
wear for that period; within 4 to 5 years, the owner will be able to rely on
a stock of information guiding him in planning predictive maintenance
operations.
This will prevent much costlier maintenance at a latest stage in the event of
breakage (halting plant activity) or reduce preventive maintenance (which
is exceedingly expensive).
In particular instances the tests can also imply the measuring of the H2O
contents, of the carbon and soot residues in the Diesel engine and the
checking of combustion.

LAVORAZIONE CHE HA LO SCOPO DI PROLUNGARE
L’IMPIEGO DELL’OLIO IN SERVIZIO: il Service Syneco
HOT (Hydraulic Oil Treatment).
É un processo rivolto agli oli idraulici della
serie Syneco PRESS, controllati periodicamente
col Service Syneco Check-UP; una
lavorazione di “lifting” prevede il raggiungimento
delle caratteristiche iniziali del fluido
e perciò consente il successivo riutilizzo
nello stesso circuito oleodinamico.
Col processo di lavorazione si prevede di raddoppiare il tempo
di utilizzo dell’olio in modo da usarlo per la durata totale del circuito.
Sono ridotti gli intervalli di manodopera per il cambio dell’olio,
la quantità dell’olio da smaltire come prodotto esausto, contenendo
gli effetti dell’impatto ambientale.

In its plant in S. Giuliano Milanese, Syneco has created and
improved a NEW TYPE OF OIL-PROCESSING WHICH
INCREASES THE IN-USE LIFE OF THE OIL: THIS NEW
TREATMENT IS CALLED SERVICE SYNECO HOT (Hydraulic
Oil Treatment).
This type of processing is tailored to hydraulic
oils of the Syneco PRESS Series, which are regularly
checked by means of Syneco Check-UP service,
before undergoing this special kind of “plastic
surgery”, through which the initial oil characteristics
are restored, so that it is possible to
keep using the same oil in the same hydraulic circuit.
This type of oil processing is designed to double the length of
time during which oil is used, so that the same oil can be used
throughout the total circuit length.
Furthermore, thanks to this oil the number of oil changes is reduced,
as well as the amount of used oil to be disposed of, thus
limiting the harmful effects on the environment.
