Un primo svantaggio <strong>di</strong> questa soluzione, che deriva dall’architettura<br />
<strong>di</strong>stribuita del sistema, risiede nel fatto che aff<strong>in</strong>ché sia possibile la procedura<br />
<strong>di</strong> handover sia il MN ( Mobile Node) sia il CH( Correspondant Host)<br />
co<strong>in</strong>volto <strong>in</strong> una comunicazione, devono essere muniti del software<br />
opportuno.<br />
Un secondo svantaggio legato alle architetture <strong>di</strong>stribuite è l’elevato<br />
ritardo che si potrebbe avere nella procedura <strong>di</strong> handover nel caso <strong>in</strong> cui i<br />
due term<strong>in</strong>ali co<strong>in</strong>volti si trov<strong>in</strong>o a <strong>di</strong>stanze considerevoli, <strong>di</strong>stanze che<br />
comportano una lenta detenzione degli opportuni aggiornamenti.<br />

Tale soluzione è frutto della collaborazione dell’Università <strong>di</strong> Roma Tor<br />
Vergata con altri enti <strong>di</strong> ricerca. Rappresenta la soluzione più completa<br />
rispetto a quelle elencate precedentemente.<br />
Come è mostrato <strong>in</strong> figura l’architettura <strong>di</strong> riferimento è composta dal MH,<br />
che si <strong>di</strong>vide <strong>in</strong> UA (User Agent) e MMC (<strong>Mobili</strong>ty Management Client), dal<br />
MMS (<strong>Mobili</strong>ty Management Server) e dal CH (Correspondant Host).<br />
