ICOMIA (International Council of Marine Industry
Associations), designated Udo Kleinitz as technical manager
of the team.The new manager is in charge of all
the aspects of ICOMIA’s technical matters including the
Recreational Craft Directive, management of ICOMIA’s
support to the development of ISO Small Craft standards,
engine emissions regulations and management of
ICOMIA’s statistics programme.
In addition, ICOMIA Executive Committee at its recent
meeting in Düsseldorf approved 3 new membership
applications: from Sabbex, the South African Boat
Builders’ Export Council, RINA, the Italian classification
society and RCD Notified Body and impA, the international
Marine Products Association based in the
