EXPERIMENTA 06 - INTORNO AL FUTURO: VIAGGIO NELLE TECNOLOGIE INVISIBILI

HO BISOGNO... LO DESIDERO... NON MI IMPORTA... Il riconoscimento
delle impronte digitali, i vetri opachi che diventano trasparenti
con l’elettricità, gli apparecchi che chiedono da soli l’intervento dell’assistenza,
o scelgono i programmi tv in base alle nostre abitudini che
hanno precedentemente analizzato, un grande schermo che ci mette
in comunicazione con la persona di cui sentiamo la mancanza come
se fosse in casa, i programmi televisivi interattivi e selezionati non più
a flusso, le informazioni scelte secondo la nostra “griglia” di interessi,
spazi che non vengono più disturbati da fonti di suono vicinissime...
sono proprio i servizi che desideriamo?
TECNOLOGIA FACILE DA USARE Il sogno di tutti: il nostro comando
vocale sarà sufficiente a far funzionare qualsiasi “macchina” o centralina
che abbiamo in casa, sfruttando finalmente le sue potenzialità?
Sostituirà tutti i manuali di istruzione così difficili che fanno sì che utilizziamo
in modo approfondito meno di un ventesimo delle tecnologie
che ci circondano?
...E FACILE DA CAPIRE? E nello stesso tempo il laser, le lampade
fluorescenti, i led, gli schermi al plasma ultrapiatti, nuovi tessuti, strani
materiali per la coibentazione,... come funzionano? L’approssimazione
con cui il pubblico oggi conosce il funzionamento dei circuiti elettronici
e della play station o del dvd fanno parlare di casa “nascosta” a gran
parte di noi, più che di casa tecnologica.
SIATE CURIOSI... E allora il pubblico chiede e risponde... proprio perché
in casa nostra, in questa realtà in cui cerchiamo di stare comodi, ma
anche tranquilli, isolati (ma anche in contatto con il mondo esterno),
saremo soprattutto noi a decidere quali dispositivi si svilupperanno e
quali no. Siate curiosi, alla fine dello “spettacolo” consultate la parte di
spiegazione di alcune tecnologie in sviluppo in casa.
I NEED... DESIRE... IT DOESN’T MATTER
TO ME... Recognition of the digital print, opaque
windows which become transparent with electricity,
machines request intervention or assistance on their
own, or choose the TV programmes on the basis of
our habits which they have previously analysed, a
large screen which puts us in communication with
the person whose absence is felt as if they are in the
house, the interactive television programmes are no
longer chosen by flow, the information chosen according
to our “grill” of interests, spaces which are no
longer disturbed by sources of near sound... are they
really the services we desire?
EASY TO USE TECHNOLOGY Everyone’s dream:
our vocal command will be sufficient to make any
“machine” or control unit that we have in the house
function, finally taking advantage of its potential?
Will all the difficult instruction manuals they make
that we use in-depth be substituted by less than a
twentieth of the technologies that surround us?
...IS IT EASY TO UNDERSTAND? And at the
same time the laser, fluorescent lamps, the LED, the
ultra thin plasma screens, new materials, strange
materials for insulation,... how do they work? The approximation
with which the public today knows how
electronic circuits and play stations function, or of
the DVD make us talk about the “hidden” house for a
lot of us, more than a technological house.
BE CURIOUS... So then the public questions and
replies... because in our house, in this reality, in which
we try to be comfortable, (but also quiet, isolated
but also in contact with the outside world), it
will above all be us who decides what device will be
developed and which won’t. Be curious, at the end
of the “show” consult the part of the explanation of
some technologies developing in home.
