Questa legge ha posto muri divisori fra le<br />
attività delle banche commerciali e quelle<br />
delle banche d’investimento o degli operatori<br />
fi nanziari. La commistione aveva portato a<br />
confl itti d’interessi, frodi e gestioni arrischiate,<br />
contribuendo alla crisi del’29.<strong>Il</strong> Gsa ha creato<br />
anche un’assicurazione sui depositi con la<br />
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (Fdic).<br />
Financial Services Modernization act<br />
1999<br />
<strong>Il</strong> Gramm-Leach-BlileyAct (o Fsma) è nato<br />
come legge di ”modernizzazione” per consentire<br />
nuovamente agli istituti di credito di fare sia<br />
