TIRANTE IN FUNE / WIRE ROPE SLING
The use of wire rope slings, within the permissible temperature
ranges given in the table A1, does not require any permanent
reduction in working load limit when the rope is returned to
normal temperatures.
Wire rope slings will not be adversely affected by temperatures
up to -40 °C and no reduction from the working load limit is
therefore necessary.
Where wire rope slings are to be used at temperatures below -40
°C, the manufacturer should be consulted.
Wire rope slings with aluminium ferrules must not be used at
temperatures exceeding 150 o C.
Conditions in which the sling is may be subjected to attacks
(chemical, abrasive etc.)
Wire rope slings should not be used either immersed in acid
solutions or exposed to acid fumes.
If certain production processes involve acidic solutions and fumes
asks for the manufacturer's advice.
For the same reasons wire rope slings should not be galvanized or
subjected to any plating processes without the approval of the
manufacturer.
Use dangerous conditions
Exceptionally dangerous conditions include offshore activities,
the lifting of persons and lifting of potential dangerous loads
such as molten metals, corrosive materials or fissile materials. In
such cases the degree of danger should be valued by a competent
person and the working load limit adjusted accordingly.
soluzioni acide o esposte a fumi acidi.
Utilizzo in condizioni pericolose
generale esclude condizioni pericolose, incluse attività in mare,
sollevamento di persone e sollevamento di carichi
potenzialmente pericolosi, quali metalli fusi, materiali corrosivi o
materiali fissili.
