Working load limit (WLL)<br />
The method of slinging should be decided taking into<br />
consideration the cumulative effects of de-rating and selecting a<br />
suitable wire rope sling or wire rope slings selected, having a<br />
WLL equal to or greater than the mass to be lifted.<br />
Storage of wire rope slings<br />
When not in use wire rope slings should normally be kept on a<br />
properly designed rack.<br />
They should not be left lying on the ground where they can be<br />
damaged.<br />
If the wire rope slings have to be left suspended from a crane<br />
hook, the sling hooks should be fixed in an upper link to reduce<br />
the risk of sling swinging or waving.<br />
If it is thought the wire rope slings w<strong>il</strong>l be out of use for some<br />
time they should be cleaned, dried and protected from corrosion,<br />
e.g. lightly o<strong>il</strong>ed.<br />

Carico massimo di esercizio (WLL)<br />
Il metodo di imbracatura dovrebbe essere deciso prendendo in<br />
considerazione gli effetti cumulativi del declassamento,<br />
selezionando una o più brache a fune, a seconda dei casi, in<br />
modo che la massa da sollevare non sia maggiore del carico<br />
massimo di esercizio.<br />
Conservazione delle brache a fune<br />
Quando non ut<strong>il</strong>izzate, le brache dovrebbero essere conservate<br />
su un'apposita rastrelliera.<br />
Non dovrebbero essere lasciate per terra per non essere<br />
danneggiate.<br />
Se le brache a fune dovessero essere lasciate appese al gancio di<br />
una gru, i ganci delle brache dovrebbero essere agganciati in<br />
alto, per ridurre <strong>il</strong> rischio di libera osc<strong>il</strong>lazione o ondeggiamento<br />
dei tiranti. Se si prevede di non ut<strong>il</strong>izzare le brache a fune per<br />
un certo periodo di tempo, è consigliab<strong>il</strong>e pulirle, asciugarle e<br />
proteggerle dalla corrosione, per esempio oliandole leggermente.<br />
