Idea of the Game

Each player in turn must play a suitable card face-up on the discard
pile in the centre of the table. A card is suitable if it shows the same
animal, or has the same colour, as the top card of the discard pile.
The player who first manages to get rid of all his cards wins this
round and may put his game piece forward one space on the game
board. The game is played over several rounds; the player whose
piece first reaches the final space on the game board wins the game.
Preparation
Put the game board on the table, somewhere to the side. Each
player gets a game piece, which he puts on the “Start” space of the
same colour. If there are fewer than four players, the leftover pieces
are not needed; you can put them back into the box.
Shuffle the cards and deal. Each player gets five cards, which he
takes up in hand. Put the remaining cards in the centre of the table
as a face-down stock.
