“Pizzeria e trattoria” Domenico is in Savassi<br />

area in Belo Horizonte, capital of Minais Gerais.<br />

State of Sao Paolo.<br />

“Our cuisine”, the restaurant-owner from<br />

Catania continues, “is basically Sicilian.<br />

Penne con bottarga [fish-eggs], spaghetti<br />

with black cuttlefish ink, rabbit in sweetand-sour<br />

sauce, goat meat, swordfish,<br />

tuna fish and cannoli [cream horns] are<br />

the proposals that grace the hundred-plus<br />

places of our restaurant, using only Italian<br />

labels”. In the wine-cellar, in fact, are more<br />

than two hundred labels from the Valle<br />

d’Aosta to Sicily.<br />

“In Brazil”, Lodato continues, “there are<br />

a lot of Italian restaurants, but adapted<br />

to Brazilian taste. They are soulless<br />

eating-places, sometimes even good<br />

to look at, but without soul. We, on the<br />

other hand, represent Sicilian and Italian<br />

enogastronomy, a real, authentic cuisine<br />

without half-measures”. It is by no chance<br />

that La Campagna boasts the Ospitalità<br />

Italiana label, a certificate promoted by<br />

ISNART (National Institute for Tourism<br />

Research) and the Chamber of Commerce<br />
