Lucens.
Tecnicamente la
Lucens e la Extra
Lucens sono identiche:
il caricamento
avviene per mezzo di
uno stantuffo tuffante,
brevettato da
Simoni nel 1936. Dal
punto di vista estetico,
la Lucens é cilindrica,
mentre la Extra
Lucens é faccettata.
Per i serbatoi dei
primi modelli trasparenti
Simoni utilizza
celluloidi molto chiare, che si rivelano
però troppo fragili e vengono sostituite
ben presto con colorazioni più scure.
La gamma Omas arriva perciò a comprendere
quattro modelli di altissima qualità:
la Extra a leva e la Lucens trasparente
cilindriche, la Extra faccettata e la Extra
Lucens nella versione dodecagonale. Tutti
i modelli montano la caratteristica clip a
rotella e la vera grecata tra i due anellini.

The lever-filled Extra
stayed in production
until 1946 with very
few changes. Among
these variations, one
worth mentioning is
the adoption of three
thin cap bands in the place of the fretted
band – in 1936 on the cylindrical model
and in 1940 on the faceted pen. Also during
the war, versions were made with
chrome-plated trim and Permanio alloy
nibs.
In 1946 Omas fully overhauled the Extra
both technically and aesthetically. The
pen was given a screw piston fill mechanism
and a transparent window on the
