E' infatti ancora il modello Minerva
ad essere utilizzato per la realizzazione di
un "Combo", una combinazione stilografica/portamine.
di cui non si trova altra
traccia nel panorama Omas. Questo
modello, di cui si conoscono solo due
esemplari, uno illustrato nel volumetto
"Stilografiche Omas dal 1925 ad Oggi",
marcato Omas e, l'altro, raffigurato in
questo volume, ebbe sicuramente una diffusione
commerciale molto limitata, o,
addirittura, non venne mai messo in commercio.
Tra le innumerevoli varianti delle Minerva,
merita ricordare in questa sede la stilografica
descritta da Dolcini nell'articolo "A tal

was more “creative” with the Minerva
lines, introducing innumerable variants
and restylings. In fact it was the Minerva
he used to create a “combo” pen, a combined
fountain pen/mechanical pencil.
Only two examples of this model are
known to exist – one is pictured in the
volume Stilografiche Omas dal 1925 ad
Oggi and the other in this book – most
likely indicating that it either had very
limited sales or was indeed never sold.
Among the numerous Minerva variants, it
is also worthwhile mentioning here the
pen described by Dolcini in his article
“That unexpected surprise,” published in
colpo inaspettato", pubblicato sul numero
47 della rivista Penna. Si tratta di un
insolito modello, forse un prototipo, con
caricamento a pulsante di fondo, sagoma
ogivale e finiture molto simili a quelle utilizzate
sul modello Trasparente. Dolcini
ne colloca l'epoca produttiva negli anni
1940, ma non é da escludere che questa
penna possa essere nata anche precedentemente,
sulla scia dei modelli Omas
Extra, The Scotland, Dollar Pen, resi aerodinamici
e moderni dalla semplice revisione
stilistica delle estremità del cappuccio
e del fondello.
La produzione Minerva continua per
issue 47 of Penna magazine. This unusual
button-filler, possibly a prototype, has
tapering ends and very similar trim to the
Trasparente’s. Although Dolcini dates the
pen to the forties, it cannot be ruled out
that it might have appeared earlier, and
in the wake of the Omas Extra, The
Scotland, and Dollar Pen models, whose
appearance had been streamlined and
modernized through a restyling of the cap
top and barrel end.
Omas continued to make Minervas
throughout the fifties and sixties in the
form of the button-filled Minerva 60, in
both celluloid and thermoplastic resin.
