IL modello 352 introdotto
nel 1950 c.ca.
The 352, introduced
around 1950.
prodotto fino al 1954 con cappuccio a
vite e successivamente a scatto, che Omas
inizia la produzione di penne in resina
termoplastica, senza tuttavia abbandonare
mai l'utilizzo della celluloide.
La gamma Omas degli anni cinquanta
comprende perciò i seguenti modelli:
the design of all Omas pens. The ends of
the pens became tapering and the three
cap bands were replaced by a single wider
band. On the cylindrical models the clip
became more linear, while on the faceted
pens it took on a diamond profile.
With the exception of the Lucens, which
kept its plunger piston filler into the sixties,
almost all Omas pens were fitted with the
screw piston system. The only model that
remained unaltered was the Extra Lucens,
which sold throughout the fifties and sixties
with three thin cap bands, an arrowshaped
clip, and a plunger piston fill
mechanism. It was made in large and
medium sizes, and in black only.
A model that deserves special mention is
the revolutionary and extraordinarily successful
361. With a simple twist of a small
hard rubber sleeve around the nib, the
nib changes from flexible to rigid as needed.
Although Omas has never abandoned
celluloid, this was the model (made up to
1954 with a threaded cap and later with
a pull-off cap) that ushered in the use of
thermoplastic resin at the firm.
