Im Biotop von Rasen-Antholz, welches unter Naturschutz
steht, ist die Voraussetzung zur Erhaltung
der charakteristischen Flora und Fauna geschaffen.
Daneben sind einige Lehrpfade angelegt, um

naturkundlichen Kenntnisse zu erweitern.

„Verweilen und Meditieren“
Ein stiller, harmonischer Rundweg, der zum
Verweilen und Meditieren einlädt. Entlang des
Weges haben KünstlerInnen Werke installiert,
mit denen sie die großen Persönlichkeiten würdigen,
die ehemals in Gais gelebt und gewirkt
haben, wie z. B. der streitbare Minnesänger
Oswald von Wolkenstein, der amerikanische
Dichter Ezra Pound, seine Tochter Mary de
Rachewiltz, sowie die Bildhauer Heinrich und
Franz Bacher.

>> Themenwanderweg und Lehrpfad
„steinmeile“ in Olang
Entlang des Wanderweges erhält man Einblick
in die Welt des Gesteins. Zwischen dem Weiler
Mühlbach und dem Spielplatz Niederolang
Unterdorf wurden unterschiedliche Steinblöcke
aufgestellt, die aus verschiedenen Gegenden
Südtirols stammen. Informationen dazu können
den jeweils nebenan stehenden Informationstafeln
entnommen werden. Dieser Weg ist ein Ort der
Erfahrung, der Kommunikation, des Lernens und
Verweilens.

le conoscenze naturalistiche.

Un itinerario circolare, tranquillo e armonioso,
che invita a sostare e meditare. Lungo il percorso,
alcuni artisti hanno realizzato delle installazioni
in onore di personaggi del passato che hanno vissuto
e operato a Gais come il litigioso menestrello
Oswald von Wolkenstein, il poeta americano
Ezra Pound, sua figlia Mary de Rachewiltz, gli

Cultural Trail in Gais
This is a peaceful, harmonious roundtrip trail
where you can relax and meditate. Along the
path, artists have installed works honoring great
local personages, e.g., the pugnacious balladsinger
Oswald von Wolkenstein, the American
poet Ezra Pound, his daughter Mary de Rachewiltz,
and the sculptors Heinrich and Franz Bacher.

and Instructional Trail
in Valdaora
Along this hiking trail, you’ll find out more about
the world of minerals. Between the hamlet of
Riomolino and the playground in Valdaora di
Sotto, various blocks of stone have been erected
originating from different places in South Tyrol.
Next to each stone, there’s a panel providing
more information. This trail is a place where you
can learn, communicate, and enjoy yourself.

>> Archeological Panorama Trail
in san Lorenzo
The Archeological Panorama Trail encircling the
Sonnenburger Kopf takes visitors to historically
important places and archeological excavation
sites dating back to the Bronze Age, the Iron Age,
the Roman Era, and the Late Classical Era. There
are 16 instructional panels along the trail with
information on the excavation sites and the finds
made there. These finds are all on exhibit at the
Museum Mansio Sebatum.
