In Terenten knattern und rumpeln noch 6 über
200 Jahre alte Radmühlen am Terner Bach.
Die Mühlen in Campill, zum Teil heute noch von
den dort ansässigen Bauern benutzt, stellen
ein lebendiges Zeugnis einer althergebrachten
Kultur dar. Die 2 Besichtigungswege der Mühlen
sind romantische und lehrreiche Spaziergänge in
die Vergangenheit, in den Sommermonaten wird
auch gemahlen.

Die Viles (Weiler) prägen die traditionelle Siedlungslandschaft
des Gadertales. Nur wenige
Höfe sind zumeist um einen kleinen Dorfplatz mit
gemeinsamem Brunnen und Backofen gruppiert.
Die Cialciara (Kalksteinöfen) sind wertvolle
Zeugnisse für die einstige Selbstversorgung und
wirtschaftliche Unabhängigkeit.

san Martino in Badia
A Terento, sulle sponde del rio omonimo, girano e
scricchiolano ancora le ruote di 6 mulini costruiti
più di due secoli fa.
I mulini di Longiarù, in parte ancora oggi utilizzati
dai contadini della zona, sono testimoni viventi
di un’antichissima cultura. I due sentieri alla scoperta
dei mulini offrono l’occasione di compiere
piacevoli passeggiate, immersi in un paesaggio
idilliaco, e di fare un interessante tuffo nel passato.
Nei mesi estivi è possibile inoltre assistere alle
operazioni di macina.

>> “Les Viles” & Forno di cottura della
calce - Longiarù / san Martino in Badia
Le cosiddette Viles (ville), sono il più antico e tipico
insediamento umano della Val Badia costituito
da un paio di masi riuniti intorno a una piazzola
con fontana e forno per la calce. Le cialciare,
i forni per la cottura delle pietre calcaree,
sono preziose testimonianze di antiche forme di
sussistenza e autonomia economica.

In Terento, at the Terner Brook, you can view six
waterwheels which are over 200 years old and
still in operation!
The watermills in Longiarù – which, in part, are still
used by the local farmers – represent a living testimony
to an ancient culture. The two instructional
walking paths will take you around the mills.
It’s a romantic and educational walk into the
past. In the summer months, the mills grind grain.

>> “Les Viles” & Lime Furnaces –
Longiarù - san Martino in Badia
Val Badia is characterized by scattered settlements
called “viles” (hamlets). Each hamlet consists
of just a few farmsteads clustered around
a small square, with a common well and baking
ovens. The “cialciara” (furnaces in which limestone
is burned to lime) you can see there are
a testament to the self-sufficiency and economic
independence of these farmsteads.
