festivals. He then filmed Il futuro<br />
del mondo passa da qui - City Veins,<br />
which earned him the Premio Joris<br />
Ivens at the Cinéma du Reel in 2011.<br />
Sulle tracce del bianco<br />
On the White’s Trail<br />
Nella primavera del 2006, nel vallone di Les Laure in Valle d’Aosta,<br />
è stato avvistato un esemplare unico al mondo, lo stambecco<br />
bianco. Sulle sue tracce si muovono quindi due persone, solo<br />
in apparenza molto distanti tra loro. Il primo è Mauro Buvet, un<br />
cacciatore di montagna che, alla ricerca dell’equilibrio perduto<br />
tra uomo e natura, segue antichi principi che non gli permettono<br />
di uccidere questo rarissimo animale. Il secondo è invece<br />
un veterinario, Alessandro Mosca, che sta conducendo una ricerca<br />
scientifica proprio sullo stambecco, un mammifero a forte<br />
rischio estinzione a causa del suo stesso patrimonio genetico.<br />
In the spring of 2006, the world’s only example of a white ibex<br />
was sighted in the Les Laure valley in the Aosta Valley. Two men,<br />
only apparently very different, are on the animal’s trail. One is<br />
Mauro Buvet, an alpine hunter who, in his passion for hunting<br />
and search for the lost harmony between man and nature, follows<br />
the ancient rules of not killing this rare animal. The other is<br />
Alessandro Mosca, a veterinarian studying the ibex, which is at a<br />
high risk of extinction because of its genetic patrimony.<br />
