Emina or from the Pathology of Human Vitality
The author of this original radio play is a drama writer of the middle generation who dared to go beyond the ordinary in Slovakia: he did not paint
anonymous stories, but he used real, current stories that people would prefer to forget. The story takes place in the former Yugoslavia. The play takes a
frank look at the causes of human aggressiveness and the failure of humanity. The author tried to use a language unmediated by time, the language of
the present that we use to speak about real events - topics that are hot, topics which have to be grasped and coloured by our own experiences.
esperienze.
A Flight by Eteroplane
The play was written in Slovene by the Croatian author Luko Paljetak. The play is based on a motif taken from the short story A Vase with Tuberoses
written by the Slovene poet, writer and dramatist Miran Jarc. The radio play presents four couples in different periods of life, stumbling upon each other
at the opening of a mansion. Through the play the pairs disclose, each in their own very special way, their outlook on love and its meaning. The story is
presented in a dreamy, impressionistic manner and the facts are somewhat intangible. Thus the emphasis is not so much on the development of the
events themselves as the perception of love, the question of existence and middle-class decadence, which then softly merge into a sweet-and-sour
