Group profit after tax, minorityi n t e rest and extraord i n a ry items attributable toshareholders amounted to RM5.42 million. During thisperiod, the Group recorded a turnover of RM126.84million, compared to RM114.74 million previously.DIVIDENDSThe UM Land Group has maintained its pre v i o u sannual dividend payout of 7.5 sen gross per sharedespite a less profitable year.The directors are recommending a final ord i n a rydividend of 5.0 sen gross per share, less tax of 28percent. This is in addition to the interim dividend of2.5 sen gross per share, less tax of 28 percent whichwas paid on 30 November 2000.A BETTER FUTUREAs UM Land Group entered the year 2001,there were indications of uncertainties inthe global economy which would have abearing on Malaysia’s own economicperformance.The Government has implementedm e a s u res which should mitigatethese effects. The measures includethe waiver of stamp duty onproperty transfers and the relaxationof Foreign Investment Committeerules on pro p e rty purchases byforeigners.Kumpulan UM Land juga memberi tumpuan kepadacampuran produk yang lebih baik di dalam pasaran,dengan penekanan ke atas hartanah tak alih. Contohnyaadalah rumah-rumah berderet Acacia, Putra Villa danPutra Te rrace di Bandar Seri Putra, Bangi. Pro d u k -p roduk ini ditawarkan dengan nilai menarik, sepert ibayaran pendahuluan yang rendah dan pembiayaansehingga 100 peratus.
