Ismail bin Abd HalimIsmail bin Abd Halim, 41, was appointed as theManaging Director and Chief Executive Officer of UMLand in January 2001. He holds a Bachelor ofC o m m e rce (Honours) majoring in Accounting fro mBirmingham University, UK and is a member of theInstitute of Chart e red Accountants of England andWales. He joined the PERNAS Group in 1989 andhas occupied various senior positions in the PERNASGroup. His last post was as Vice President, CorporateS e rvices. He also sits on the Boards of PERNASI n t e rnational Holdings Berhad and Tradewinds (M)Berhad. He is currently theExecutive Director of the Company. He was theManaging Director and Group Chief Executive Off i c e rof UM Land until he relinquished his position inJ a n u a ry 2001. He is a graduate of the SingaporePolytechnic. He is a Director of CT Group, the originalowner of Seri Alam Township development and helpedsteer the sale of this development to UM Land in amajor re s t ructuring exercise back in 1995. He is also theP resident of King George Financial Corporation and ad i rector of Allied Pro p e rties Hotel Inc., both listed onthe Canadian Stock Exchange. He also sits on theB o a rd of several private limited companies in Malaysia,S i n g a p o re, Canada and the United States of America.He is also a founding life member of the Pre s i d e n t sClub of Simon Fraser University. Beliau juga merupakan PresidenKing George Financial Corporation dan pengarah AlliedProperties Hotel Inc., kedua-duanya disenaraikan di BursaSaham Kanada. Beliau juga merupakan Pengarah dalambeberapa syarikat swasta di Malaysia, Singapura, Kanadadan Amerika Syarikat. Beliau juga adalah seorang ahlip e n gasas hayat bagi Presidents Club, Simon Fra s e rUniversity.
