“ENTERTAINIG TV-PROGRAMS AND POLITICAL
SOCIALIZATION”
Summary
The research is based on the analysis of two popular TVprograms
– a puppet-show serial “A Tale for Grown-ups” and an
animated serial, called “Dardubala” and reveals their influence
on the forming process of political ideas and beliefs in the mass
consciousness.
The work states that entertaining programs definitely are not
apolitical at all and at the same time they do not lack ideology.
During the permanent and long impact on the audience they either
contribute to strengthening the already existing socio-political
standards, raising Government’s authority, (“A Tale for Grownups”)
or, on the contrary, they act against it (“Dardubala”). The
effectiveness of the programs are greatly depended on using of
feature or feature-documentary film forms, especially satirichumorous
(in this case parodies) types. This mode attracts wider
TV- audience.
