MSOC requirements for new workers
(New workers refer to workers who have never worked in Singapore or those whose certification is
no longer valid after having returned to their home countries).
What are the new MSOC requirements for new workers
New workers are required to attend the MSOC and sit for the test within 14 calendar days of arrival
before their WPs can be issued. They must also pass the test within 3 months of arrival, failing
which their WPs will be revoked.
Will new workers be able to obtain their WPs once they have undergone the MSOC and sat
for the test
Undergoing the MSOC is only one of the requirements for WP issuance. Other conditions must be
fulfilled before the issuance, for e.g. the employer has to furnish medical insurance details and the
worker has to pass a medical examination.
MSOC requirements for existing workers
What are the new MSOC requirements for existing workers
• Existing workers are required to sit for a re-certification test and need not attend the MSOC
again if they pass the test. Those who fail will need to attend MSOC and pass a re-test.
• Existing workers must maintain a valid MSOC certificate at all times or risk having their WPs
revoked.
