AMERICOM 18<br />
SES Americom is due to launch AMERICOM<br />
18. This <strong>satellite</strong> has been designed to provide<br />
C-band services for cable programming<br />
and regular broadcasting. It will be located at<br />
255 East (105.5 West) and has 24 transponders<br />
with 36 MHz each. It‘s life expectancy is<br />
15 years.<br />
INTELS<strong>AT</strong> will start NSS-8, to replace NSS-703, which will come to its end of life in 2009.<br />
NSS-8 will be located at 57 East, and has 56 C-band and 36 Ku-band transponders<br />
BADR-4<br />
ARABS<strong>AT</strong> is about to launch it‘s 4th <strong>satellite</strong>,<br />
called BADR-4. It will be co-located at<br />
ARABS<strong>AT</strong>‘s „Hot Spot“ location at 26 East,<br />
servicing as a backup for BADR-2 and BADR-<br />
3, and eventually to take over. BADR-4 has<br />
32 transponders in Ku-band
