Alpha 3 - Kampung Lingka Bugan 2 & Kampung Vunui Lokos
Alpha Three worked on gravity water feed systems in two separate
communities within Sabah, firstly in the Kota Marudu district then in
the Pitas district.
During phase one the team built a new pipe network in Kampung
Lingka Bugan 2, refurbishing the existing system and making sure all of
the community had equal access to water.
In phases two and three the team built an entirely new water system in
Kampung Vunui Lokos, building a dam before planning distribution.
Groups then laid pipes, taking water from the source to stand pipes
close to houses within the community.
During both projects Raleigh worked with closely with The Asian
Forestry Company with technical support from Pacos Trust. Raleigh
would like to thank Coca-Cola who provided the funding for this
project.
