Expedition Overview Gambaran Ekspidisi<br />
Expedition <strong>10A</strong> was one of the largest <strong>Raleigh</strong> has run in Sabah in<br />
recent years with 29 volunteer managers and 116 venturers from<br />
around the world.<br />
Between <strong>January</strong> and <strong>April</strong>, teams worked on a variety of projects<br />
in the region, including building three gravity water feed systems,<br />
working on the new Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre,<br />
building a community kindergarten, developing infrastructure at<br />
Imbak Canyon and constructing traditional accommodation for a<br />
new rainforest reforestation project in the Kudat region of <strong>Borneo</strong>.<br />
Participants came from a variety of social and cultural<br />
backgrounds from all over the world, including the Netherlands,<br />
Denmark, Ireland, Malaysia and the UK.<br />
The expedition, supported by the Sabah Ministry of Youth and<br />
Sport, started on Tuesday the 2nd of February and concluded<br />
on Thursday, the 8th of <strong>April</strong> with an official ceremony including<br />
traditional dancing and food.<br />
Ekspedisi <strong>10A</strong> merupakan salah satu ekspidisi yang terbesar<br />
yang pernah dijalankan di Sabah. Ekspidisi ini terdiri daripada 29<br />
pengurus sukarelawan dan 116 peserta sukarelawan dari seluruh<br />
dunia.<br />
Di antara Januari dan <strong>April</strong>, pasukan-pasukan <strong>Raleigh</strong> telah<br />
berkerja untuk menyiapkan beberapa jenis projek di Sabah,<br />
termasuk pembinaan tiga sistem air graviti, pembinaan Pusat<br />
Konservasi Beruang Madu <strong>Borneo</strong>, pembinaan tadika komuniti,<br />
pemajuan infrastruktur di Kanyon Imbak dan pembinaan rumah<br />
tradisi untuk projek penghutanan semula di Kudat.<br />
Peserta-peserta <strong>Raleigh</strong> <strong>Borneo</strong> <strong>10A</strong> telah datang dari pelbagai<br />
latar belakang sosial dan budaya di seluruh dunia, termasuk<br />
negara Belanda, Denmark, Ireland, United Kingdom dan Malaysia.<br />
Ekspidisi yang disokong oleh Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Sabah<br />
ini dimulakan pada 2hb Februari dan diakhirkan pada 8hb <strong>April</strong><br />
dengan sebuah majlis penutupan yang diserikan dengan tarian<br />
tradisional dan makanan bufet.<br />
