About Raleigh Participants
Raleigh encourages venturers and volunteer managers from all walks
of life. Working in a culturally diverse team is integral to the Raleigh
experience. This expedition’s success has been dependent on the
unique qualities and experience brought by each of you. You have
helped to make this expedition amazing.
Host Country Venturers
Raleigh considers the participation of young people from Malaysia to be
crucial to the success of our expeditions.
Partnership Venturers
These venturers are positive young people from disadvantaged
backgrounds in the UK who participate on a Raleigh expedition as part
of a longer term development programme.
UK and International Fundraising Venturers
Fundraising venturers work hard to raise money to contribute towards
the charity’s work and expenses in order to take part in the expedition.
BIS Graduate Venturers
The Raleigh Graduate Bursary Award for Volunteering Overseas is a new
initiative. Part-funded by the UK Department for Business, Innovation
and Skills, this bursary supports selected graduates looking to gain new
experiences and become global citizens through a Raleigh expedition.
Volunteer Managers
Each year over 300 volunteer managers join Raleigh expeditions in
a variety of roles. They play an integral part in the running of these
expeditions helping to make a difference to the lives of all participants
on expeditions, helping local communities and environments.

Tentang Sukarelawan-sukarelawan Raleigh
Raleigh menggalakkan peserta dan pengurus projek dari pelbagai latar
belakang. Suasana kerja yang berpelbagai budaya merupakan suatu
faktor yang penting dalam pengalaman Raleigh. Kejayaan ekspidisi ini
adalah hasil daripada kualiti yang unik dari setiap peserta.
Peserta Negara Tuan Rumah
Raleigh berpendapat bahawa penglibatan peserta dari Malaysia
merupakan satu faktor yang menyumbang kepada kejayaan ekspidisi.
Peserta Perkongsian
Peserta-peserta ini adalah peserta muda yang berfikiran positif yang
datang dari latar belakang yang kurang bernasib baik dari United
Kingdom. Mereka mengambil bahagian dalam program Raleigh sebagai
sebahagian dari program pembangunan diri jangka masa panjang.
Peserta UK dan Peserta Penjana Dana
Peserta penjana dana berkerja keras untuk menjalankan aktiviti
amal untuk menjana dana untuk kerja-kerja organisasi supaya dapat
mengambil bahagian dalam ekspidisi.
Peserta Graduan BIS
Anugerah Dermasiswa Graduan BIS Untuk Bersukarelawan Di Luar
Negara merupakan satu inisiatif baru. Sebahagian dari inisiatif ini
dtanggung oleh Jabatan Perniagaan, Inovasi dan Kemahiran UK dan
dermasiswaan ini menggalakkan graduan yang dipilih untuk mendapat
pengalaman yang baru dan menjadi warganegara sedunia melalui
program Raleigh.
Pengurus Project
Lebih dari 300 pengurus program datang mengambil bahagian dalam
ekspidisi Raleigh secara sukarela setiap tahun. Mereka berperanan
penting dalam memastikan ekspidisi berjalan dengan lancar. Mereka
merupakan penggalak peserta Raleigh dan mereka cuba membawa
perbezaan yang positif ke atas komuniti dan persekitaran setempat.
