modality. Persisting with this latter idea and to better understand the syntactic coherence
of the oral modality, we analysed the lexical repetitions found in 19 oral texts of an idiopathic
nature. The Syntactic Coherence Windows proposed by Daniel luzzati have been
our primary unit of analysis. As a result of our research we have demonstrated that the
syntactic structures created around phenomena of repetition are by no means negligible.
rather, are so peculiar that they are perfectly acceptable and justifiable from the viewpoint
of syntactic coherence and the enunciation conditions themselves of spoken language,
or rather, in most cases perform some specific functions, for example, assure, enrich or
facilitate understanding of the content or strengthen the interaction between storytellers.
