“Georgian National Hymn”; in 1918 Galaktion’s “Hymn” was created; in
the 1940s Galaktion wrote “The Hymn to Georgian Alphabet” and “Praise
to Nikortsminda”. The specimen of a hymn performed with asteism prose is
Giorgi Leonidze’s “Hymn to the Beans” (“Beans Standing”) which is
pronounced by Champura in “The Tree of Desire”.
In modern time numerous new forms of hymns have been created:
following national anthems, the so-called corporative hymns (university,
football teams, civil and public, medical services, etc) are popular.
