Romantism, while in Russian literature its role reflected more in carriers of
writers, connected with Ukrainian traditions. Some motives in baroque
literature (motive of minority, promptitude, vanity of human’s life, motive
of sin and requital, motive of death) are present in the texts of following
epochs. Subjects and images of Baroque historiography became a basis for
many works of romantic writers, who have been searching ideal heroes in
history of kozack’s epoch. Many genres, which were popular in baroque
epoch, were used loped using in epoch of Romantism (elegies, epistles,
psalms, mysteries and others). It’s typical that Baroque art developed its
influence on international level (sarmatism of Polish Baroque in Ukrainian
culture, baroque rhetoric of Kiev-Mohila academy in Russia). Investigation
of Baroque traditions in other styles gives a possibility to study the
continuity of literature process.
