Populasi ternak di
klasifikasikan atas : ternak besar yang
meliputi sapi, kerbau, kuda; ternak kecil
meliputi kambing, babi dan domba serta
ternak unggas meliputi ayam kampung,
ayam petelur, itik dan ayam pus pedaging.
Tabel 6.4.1. adalah gambaran
keadaan populasi ternak besar yang
tersebar di 19 kecamatan di Kabupaten
Poso pada tahun 2011. Pada tahun ini
dilakukan pendataan secara
menyeluruh(sensus) hewan ternak besar.
Untuk ternak sapi populasi tahun 2011
mencapai 13.397 ekor, ternak kerbau
sebesar 311 ekor, sementara unutk jenis
kuda mencapai 2.003 ekor. Berdasakan
pendataan PSPK terdapat 8 ekor sapi
perah di Kabupaten Poso, hasil olahannya
berupa keju. Sementara untuk populasi
ternak kecil untuk tahun 2011, jenis
kambing mencapai 1.323 dan babi
mencapai 55.625. Sementara Populasi
domba tidak ada pada tahun 2011.
Produksi daging ternak besar tahun 2011
mencapai 103.452 kg jenis sapi, 12.750 kg
kuda.
Gambaran mengenai jumlah
pemotongan serta produksi ternak dan
unggas dapat dilihat dengan jelas pada
tabel 6.4.4. - 6.4.6. Disamping untuk
pemenuhan gizi masyarakat, ternak juga
merupakan faktor penunjang juga pada
sektor lainnya, khususnya sektor industri.
Pertanian
Livestock population is
classified as: big livestock which is
including cows, buffalo, horses; small
livestock is including goats, pigs, and
sheep as well as poultry such as chicken,
ducks, and broiler chicken.
Table 6.4.1 is an illustration of
the condition of big livestock population
that are spread in 19 district s in Poso
Regency in 2011. This year, the
goverment cencus of population of big
livestock. The population of cows is 13.397
in 2011, buffalo is 311, meanwhile horse
population is 2.003. Based on Census of
Population of Big Livestock (PSPK), there
are 8 milk cows in Poso Regency. The
Small livestock population in 2011, such as
Goat is reach 1.323 and Pig is reach
55.625. Meanwhile sheep Population is
nothing in 2011. Meat’s Production of big
livestock in 2011 is 103.452 for cows and
12.750 kg for horse.
The description about the
number of cuts as well as the production of
livestock and poultry can be clearly seen in
table 6.4.4. - 6.4.6. In addition to the
fulfillment of people’s nutrition, livestock is
also the supporting factor for other sectors,
especially in industry sector.
