May it be prosperous. Praise of Sambhu and <strong>the</strong> Boar.<br />

Be it well. (On <strong>the</strong> date specified), of <strong>the</strong> Kasyapa-gotra and Apastambasutra,<br />

Belur Krishnappa-Nayaka's grandson, Venkatadn-Nayaka's son,<br />

Krishnappa-Nayaka gave to all <strong>the</strong> Brahmans of Muttige, o<strong>the</strong>rwise called<br />

Krishnapura, a grant of an agrahara as follows: — In <strong>the</strong> country which <strong>the</strong><br />

rajadhiraja raja-paramo!vara vira-pratapa vira-Krishna-Ddva-maharayarayya<br />

favoured to our great-great-grandfa<strong>the</strong>r (with titles as <strong>in</strong> H.-N. No. 6 above)<br />

Yera-Krishnappa-Nayakarayya, form<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> village of Muttige (its boundaries)<br />

belong<strong>in</strong>g to Konga-nad, <strong>in</strong>to 12 share? we have granted <strong>the</strong>m to (here follow<br />

names and o<strong>the</strong>r particulars of <strong>the</strong> donees), at <strong>the</strong> auspicious time of <strong>the</strong><br />

moon's eclipse, with all usual details.<br />

The righteous witnesses to this: — Sun and moon, w<strong>in</strong>d and fire, sky, earth<br />

and wate'r, conscience and Yama, day and night, morn<strong>in</strong>g and even<strong>in</strong>g: <strong>the</strong>se<br />

know <strong>the</strong> deeds of a righteous man. Usual f<strong>in</strong>al verses.<br />

Be it well. When Nitimargga Kongunivarmma dharmma-maharajadhiraja,<br />

boon lord of Kovajala-pura, lord of Nandagiri, srimat-Kachamalla-Perumanadi<br />

ascended to svargga <strong>in</strong> Kombale; <strong>the</strong>n from sorrow Racheya, who had received<br />

<strong>the</strong> kalnad of Multige, entered <strong>the</strong> fire. On which Eyeyappa-Permmanadi, who<br />

gave it, received it back aga<strong>in</strong>.<br />

The writer of this was Parasuramayya. Great good fortune.<br />

When, (with usual titles), <strong>the</strong> pratapa-chakravartti Hoysana vira-Narasimha-<br />

Deva was <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> residence of <strong>the</strong> royal city Dorasamudra, rul<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> k<strong>in</strong>gdom<br />

of <strong>the</strong> earth <strong>in</strong> peace and wisdom: —(On <strong>the</strong> date specified), for <strong>the</strong> offer<strong>in</strong>gs<br />

of <strong>the</strong> god Svayambhunatha, and <strong>the</strong> perpetual lamp, <strong>the</strong> palace official<br />

(? Kesava) Nayaka's son Devarasa, who was manag<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> customs of <strong>the</strong> nad,<br />

made a grant of certa<strong>in</strong> dues (specified) <strong>in</strong> Yakanayakana-halli belong<strong>in</strong>g to<br />

Arekerogodu. With <strong>the</strong>ir approval written by <strong>the</strong>ir senabova L<strong>in</strong>ganna.<br />

(On <strong>the</strong> date specified), Tiparasaya's grandson Huluni-Devarasaya granted<br />

for <strong>the</strong> god certa<strong>in</strong> dues (specified) from Haradur. Imprecation.
