This land be<strong>in</strong>g divided between Macha-jiya and Mala-jiya, Mala-jiya made<br />

over his share, <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> presence of all <strong>the</strong> subjects and gaudas (several named),<br />

to .ka-jiya Usual f<strong>in</strong>al verse<br />

(Apparently engraved afterwards, at <strong>the</strong> top) The grant made by <strong>the</strong> treasuict<br />

Ma .yya <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> year Sarvajit etc ( i 1227 A. D) <strong>the</strong> treasurer Kesiyanna<br />

Obeisance to Mahadeva Praise of Sambhu, and of ? Nandikesvara.<br />

Be it well. When, (with usual Chalukya titles), Tribhuvanamalla-Deva's<br />

victorious k<strong>in</strong>gdom was extend<strong>in</strong>g on all sides, to cont<strong>in</strong>ue as long as sun,<br />

moon and stars: —<br />

And, (with numerous epi<strong>the</strong>ts, <strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g) a wild-fire to <strong>the</strong> woods of <strong>the</strong><br />

Chakrakuta fort, raja of <strong>the</strong> Male rajas, a thunderbolt to <strong>the</strong> rock <strong>the</strong> skull<br />

of Kalapala, champion over <strong>the</strong> hill-chiefs, lord of Gandagni, Indra to <strong>the</strong><br />

mounta<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> pride of <strong>the</strong> fierce Pandya, a Garuda to <strong>the</strong> serpent <strong>the</strong> great<br />

army of Jagaddeva, a sharp axe to <strong>the</strong> root of <strong>the</strong> tree Naras<strong>in</strong>gha-brahma,<br />

thunder to <strong>the</strong> goose <strong>the</strong> pride of Irungola, stopper of <strong>the</strong> prule of Adiyama,<br />

<strong>the</strong> champion who captured Talakadu, a sarabha to <strong>the</strong> lion Cheng<strong>in</strong>, <strong>the</strong> equal<br />

of Adiraja, — with <strong>the</strong>se and all o<strong>the</strong>r titles, <strong>the</strong> maha-mandalesvara, capturei<br />

of Talakadu Koiigu Nangah Gangavadi Nolambavadi Banavase and Hanungal,<br />

<strong>the</strong> stiong-armed Vira-Gariga Kadamba Vishnuvarddhana-Deva, rul<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong><br />

Gangavadi N<strong>in</strong>ety-six Thousand by putt<strong>in</strong>g down <strong>the</strong> evil and uphold<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong><br />

good, was rul<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> k<strong>in</strong>gdom <strong>in</strong> peace and wibdom —<br />

Be it well. When <strong>the</strong> great mimstei, wtrvvadhikan, general and senior<br />

heggade Balvayya was rul<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> k<strong>in</strong>gdom of <strong>the</strong> earth <strong>in</strong> peace and wisdom.—<br />

And (on <strong>the</strong> date specified), <strong>the</strong> son of Naka-Gavunda <strong>the</strong> nal-prabhu of<br />

Bolhgumba <strong>in</strong> Nirugunda-nad, —(with various epi<strong>the</strong>ts), Barama-Gavunda was<br />

rul<strong>in</strong>g Belligumba <strong>in</strong> peace. —<br />

Be it well. Chendi-Setti and Gami-Setti, tak<strong>in</strong>g a strict vow, set up <strong>the</strong><br />

god Brahmosvara and built a Siva temple, — and, wash<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> feet of (possessed<br />

of <strong>the</strong> usual ascetic virtues) Soma .pandita's disciple Dammarfisi-pandita, for<br />

repairs of <strong>the</strong> temple and offer<strong>in</strong>gs, Bamma-gavunda made a grant of lands<br />

(specified). Also land (specified) was given for Ilaimikabhe, <strong>the</strong> senior daughter<br />

of <strong>the</strong> temple, and for Machave, <strong>the</strong> junior daughter. Usual f<strong>in</strong>al phrases.<br />
