(On <strong>the</strong> date specified) <strong>the</strong> raja-guru Rudrasakti-deva's sons Saiganna and<br />

Chaudrabhushana-de'va, and Ballai<strong>in</strong>a's son Chanda-guru, for <strong>the</strong> offer<strong>in</strong>gs of<br />

<strong>the</strong> god Gauresvara which <strong>the</strong> Vaidya Devapilleyanna had set up <strong>in</strong> Malleyanahalli,<br />

<strong>the</strong> hamlet of Mosale, made a grant of land (specified) near <strong>the</strong> tank<br />

belong<strong>in</strong>g to <strong>the</strong> endowments of <strong>the</strong>ir god BallaleSvara, and set up <strong>the</strong> sasana<br />

<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> temple enclosure, <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> presence of <strong>the</strong> 120 temple priests.<br />

(On <strong>the</strong> date specified) <strong>the</strong> great m<strong>in</strong>ister Bireya-dannayaka made a grant<br />

of <strong>the</strong> lands (specified) which he had acquired <strong>in</strong> Malleyanahalli, measured by<br />

<strong>the</strong> pole of 36 steps, a piece of ground 23 hands wide, with a house of 34 bands,<br />

(and ano<strong>the</strong>r land and house) for <strong>the</strong> offer<strong>in</strong>gs of <strong>the</strong> god Gaurisvara, <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

presence of <strong>the</strong> raja-guru and <strong>the</strong> 120 temple priests, mak<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong>m over to<br />

<strong>the</strong> Vaidya Devapilleyanna. Signatures. Usual f<strong>in</strong>al verse.<br />

This work of merit was due to Vaidya Devapilleyanna. The Vaidyas, with<br />

Brahmarasi-deva's son Kumarasatm-deva, and <strong>the</strong> subjects and farmers of<br />

Mosale will protect it<br />

<strong>the</strong> work of <strong>the</strong> temple of Gaurisvara erected <strong>in</strong> Maleyanaballi by Vaidya<br />

Devapiljeyanna <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> name of our mo<strong>the</strong>r, <strong>the</strong> land bought for <strong>the</strong> offer<strong>in</strong>gs<br />

to <strong>the</strong> god, and <strong>the</strong> images,—made over to him <strong>the</strong> temple and <strong>the</strong> endowments,<br />

accord<strong>in</strong>g to this sasana, free of all imposts, <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> presence of <strong>the</strong> raja-guru<br />

and <strong>the</strong> 120 temple priests<br />

Written by <strong>the</strong> senabova Naganna-deva. Brahmarasi-deva's son SomeSvaradeva,<br />

and those of <strong>the</strong> eighteen castes will protect this. The Thirty-two<br />

Thousand and <strong>the</strong> Five Hundred of Ayyavale will protect this.<br />

That Kumara-Somesvara-deva also granted some land measured by <strong>the</strong><br />

pole of 48 steps, acquired from Bayicha-guru, son of Siddhaaaru of <strong>the</strong><br />

Baichalesvara (temple).
