rul<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> empire of <strong>the</strong> world. — <strong>the</strong> village of Nidugodu <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> middle of<br />

Mala-nad belong<strong>in</strong>g to Vaaudhare, w<strong>in</strong>ch he had granted to us for <strong>the</strong> office of<br />

nayak, have we, Venkatadn-Nayaka, son of Yara-Krishnappa-Nayaka, and<br />

grandson of Potappa-Nayaka of <strong>the</strong> Kasyapa-gotra, granted to S<strong>in</strong>galacharyya<br />

Maleya-Sahani, one mdru out of his kodagi, free of all tax beyond 17 hana<br />

land rent. The land may descend to children of female slaves. He gave to<br />

<strong>the</strong> nad-heggade and gaudas certa<strong>in</strong> cloth and bought <strong>the</strong> mdru. One house<br />

(On <strong>the</strong> date specified), when <strong>the</strong> maharajadhiraja raja-paramesvara virapr<br />

at a pa vira-Achyuta-Raya-maharaya was <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> residence of Hampe-Hastmavati,<br />

rul<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> k<strong>in</strong>gdom of <strong>the</strong> world: — Raghupati-Raja-maha-arasu, son-<strong>in</strong>-law<br />

of <strong>the</strong> maha-mandalesvara Tirumalaya-maha-arasu, <strong>in</strong> order that merit might<br />

accrue to Tirnmala-Raja-Vodeyar, made, to <strong>the</strong> god Chenna-Kesava of Velapun,<br />

a grant of two hamlets (named) of <strong>the</strong> lbidu village <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> Hasana-sime which<br />

belonged to his office of Nayak, <strong>in</strong> order to provide a satra for 80 Brahmans,<br />

Usual account of <strong>the</strong> rise of <strong>the</strong> Yadu-vamsa and descent of <strong>the</strong> Hoysalas<br />

down to Ballala. When (with usual titles) vira-Ballala-Deva was <strong>in</strong> his own<br />

capital Dorasamudra, rul<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong> peace: — His m<strong>in</strong>isters <strong>in</strong> Kuruvali were<br />

Perumalu and Ballala-Lala-mantri. (On <strong>the</strong> date specified) vira-Ballala-Deva<br />

made a grant of Alur <strong>in</strong> Tagare-nad for <strong>the</strong> god Janardana. And some o<strong>the</strong>r<br />

grants were made by <strong>the</strong> Brahmans and <strong>the</strong> m<strong>in</strong>isters. Usual f<strong>in</strong>al verses.<br />
