heart of Uma,— able himself to uphold, create and destroy, — free from <strong>the</strong><br />

qualities of rajas and tamos, — may Vira-Narayana, <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> triple form of<br />

Vishnu, Brahma and Siva, ever preserve <strong>the</strong> three worlds from all calamities<br />

dweller at his lotus-feet, — of <strong>the</strong> Bharadvaja-gotra, (with numerous praises)<br />

was his chief m<strong>in</strong>ister Vira-Deva: whose fa<strong>the</strong>r was Rudra, bis mo<strong>the</strong>r Gaiigad6vi,<br />

his younger bro<strong>the</strong>r Achyuta, also <strong>the</strong> k<strong>in</strong>g's m<strong>in</strong>ister. Far<strong>the</strong>r praise of<br />

V!ra-Deva, who was twofold of Vachaspati, tenfold of Bhatti, a hundred-fold
