Be it well The beloved disciple of Maghanandi-bhattaraka-deva of the sn-
Mula-sangha, Desiya-gana, Pustaka-gachchha, Kondakundanvaya, Ingalesvaia-
bali, and Sri-samudaya, — Nemichandra-bhattaraka-deva and Abhayachandia-
saiddhanta-chakravaitti being his dikshd-ffuru and ,s/uta-gum, — Bfilaehandia-
pandita-deva, famous in the world for his teachings on penance, announced
to the four castes, saying " At noon (on the date specified) 1 shall entei the
tomb' 1 ; and commanded them, saying "You should all obtain dharmma you
must forgive me (of, I ask your torgiveness)".
Having performed all the rites of sawiyasana, seated on the palyantewuta (of
conch), praising the forms of the pancha-pmameshti,*' —in a mannei that gained
appioval from his own and from other sects, he suffered pertect entombment
All the Bhavyas (the blessed ones, that is, the Jains) of the royal city
Dotasamudra, performing all the ceremonies suitable for the occasion, as a
memonal of his depaiture (or death), made images of their guru and of the
pancha-paiameshti, and set them up, extending his ment and fame. May it be
