And of <strong>the</strong> revenue of that now share, 532 gadyana, Paramesvara-Vusndeva-<br />

Nayaka gave 60 gadydna to <strong>the</strong> Brahmans of Lokki <strong>in</strong> Asandi-nad, which ho<br />

had received from Hoysala-vira-Narasmga-Deva; and divid<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> rema<strong>in</strong>der<br />

<strong>in</strong>to four equal shares, gave (one) to <strong>the</strong> god Lakshmi-Narayana of Narfiyanapura,<br />

one to <strong>the</strong> god Nilakantha which Nambi-Nayaka had set up <strong>in</strong> Narayanapura,<br />

And divid<strong>in</strong>g <strong>in</strong>to four equal shares Kannamangala<br />

which Paramesvara-Nayaka and himself had received from <strong>the</strong> mahamandalesvara<br />

Kulottunga-Chola vira-Changaluva-Mali-Pevarasa, bestowed it<br />

From <strong>the</strong> lotus-navel of Vishnu was born Brahma. From <strong>the</strong> m<strong>in</strong>d of<br />

Brahma were born n<strong>in</strong>e sons, among whom was Atri, whose fame was greater<br />

than that of Pitaraahe (Brahma) <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> three worlds. That son of Sarasijasarobhava's<br />

(Brahm ) m<strong>in</strong>d once worshipp<strong>in</strong>g, Kanjasana (Brahma), Vishnu<br />

and Rudra (Siva), those three, be<strong>in</strong>g pleased, appeared to him; on which<br />

occasion he besought <strong>the</strong>m to become his sons, and those resplendent ones,<br />

famed <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> highest throughout <strong>the</strong> three worlds, were born accord<strong>in</strong>gly.<br />
