(On <strong>the</strong> date specified), <strong>in</strong> order that <strong>the</strong> ceremonies of <strong>the</strong> gods GSv<strong>in</strong>desvara,<br />

Nakesvara and Buchesvara might be carried on, Kallaya, son of Gov<strong>in</strong>dachan<br />

of Koravangala, made a grant of a garden. Also 12 gadydna^ <strong>the</strong> <strong>in</strong>terest on<br />

which to be applied as follows, — for <strong>the</strong> dripp<strong>in</strong>g pot, 1 honnu; for <strong>in</strong>cense<br />

for <strong>the</strong> three temples, 2 honnu; for <strong>the</strong> perpetual lamp, 3 honnu; for paddy<br />

for <strong>the</strong> Brahmans on <strong>the</strong> 8th (?) bavu day and <strong>the</strong> 11th, 2 honnu; for a perpetual<br />

lamp for <strong>the</strong> god Bairava, 1 honnu. (Here follow names of trustees)<br />

By order of <strong>the</strong> great m<strong>in</strong>ister and sarvvadhikan's son Machayya, Bacharasa-Hoggade<br />

of Heragu (on <strong>the</strong> date specified), for <strong>the</strong> perpotual lamp<br />

for <strong>the</strong> god Gov<strong>in</strong>desVara and for <strong>the</strong> oil-bath, made a grant of a hand oilmill,<br />

free of tax. (Usual imprecation.)<br />

The Heggaditi Makanavve, mo<strong>the</strong>r of <strong>the</strong> four m<strong>in</strong>isters, Gov<strong>in</strong>damayya,<br />

Naga-Rudramayya, Kalamayya and Buchi-Raja, — <strong>in</strong> order to ma<strong>in</strong>ta<strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong><br />

works of merit established by her sons, caused <strong>the</strong> Makasamudra (tank) to be<br />

constructed.<br />

Like <strong>the</strong> Naga-raja, a bearer of <strong>the</strong> burden of <strong>the</strong> world, Nakarasa, with<br />

his bro<strong>the</strong>rs, be<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> lead<strong>in</strong>g men <strong>in</strong> Narasimha-Deva's palace, consider<strong>in</strong>g<br />

that <strong>the</strong> wealth he had acquired should be expended on temples and tanks,<br />

had a temple of stone erected and gilded with gold <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> agrahara of
