Nayaka, (son) of Veiikatadri-Nayaka, agent for <strong>the</strong> affairs of <strong>the</strong> maharajadhiraja<br />

raja-parameivara vira-pratapa sri-Ranga-Raya-maharaya.<br />

While, with all titles, <strong>the</strong> Vishnuvarddhana pratapa-Hoysala, <strong>the</strong> strongarmed<br />

vira-Ballala was rul<strong>in</strong>g <strong>the</strong> k<strong>in</strong>gdem:—(on <strong>the</strong> date specified) <strong>the</strong> chief<br />

of Hanche, fight<strong>in</strong>g with <strong>the</strong> people of Kerehalli for <strong>the</strong> pond of Madabala <strong>in</strong><br />

Nelenad, died. On which <strong>the</strong> pond was built, and this memorial stone raised.<br />

Santa-Deva, head of <strong>the</strong> matha. (On <strong>the</strong> date specified) Kalle-Gauda, son of<br />

Parve-Gauda of Karjjavalji, <strong>in</strong> order that merit might accrue to Timraappa of<br />

Kanatur, made, from <strong>the</strong> land assigned for <strong>the</strong> offer<strong>in</strong>gs to <strong>the</strong> god KalleSvara,<br />

a grant of 24 khandugas of rice for Santa-Deva's matha.<br />

lord of nagara, srimad Malappa-Raja .. ; — <strong>the</strong> son of<br />

<strong>the</strong> hill chiefs, an elephant goad to <strong>the</strong> brave, <strong>the</strong> nal-gavunda<br />

of <strong>the</strong> Manale Three-hundred, Kaana-Gavunda's son . . hav<strong>in</strong>g mounted<br />

an elephant, was <strong>in</strong>vested with a title, and received Kadabavalli as a kodage.<br />
