(On <strong>the</strong> date specified), <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> presence of Vithalesvara, on <strong>the</strong> bank of <strong>the</strong><br />

Tungabhadra, he made a grant (with all details specified) of <strong>the</strong> village of<br />

Kabalh, giv<strong>in</strong>g it ano<strong>the</strong>r name of Krishnapura, situated <strong>in</strong> Sigenad of <strong>the</strong><br />

Hasana country, <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> famous Hoysana k<strong>in</strong>gdom, — to Narasa-pandita, son<br />

of Tippana-pandita, and grandson of Hobala-pandita, of <strong>the</strong> Atreya-gdtra,<br />

Asvalayana-sutra and Rik-sakha, (with all <strong>the</strong> rights perta<strong>in</strong><strong>in</strong>g to it).<br />

A jewel to <strong>the</strong> Lunar l<strong>in</strong>e was <strong>the</strong> k<strong>in</strong>g Nanda. In his l<strong>in</strong>e was born <strong>the</strong><br />

k<strong>in</strong>g Chalikka; and descended from him was Bijjalendra. Of his l<strong>in</strong>e was Somi-<br />

Deva, who captured seven hill-forts. His grandson, master of Aravitipura,<br />

was <strong>the</strong> k<strong>in</strong>g P<strong>in</strong>nama, whose son was <strong>the</strong> k<strong>in</strong>g Araviti-Bukka, whose wife was<br />

Baljambika. From <strong>the</strong>m was born Rama-Raja, whose wife was Lakkambika.<br />

They had a son Sri-Ranga-Raja, and his wife was Tiruraalambika. Their son<br />

was Rama-Raja, whose younger bro<strong>the</strong>rs were Tirumala-Raja and Venkatadri-<br />

Raja. Krishnappa-Nayaka, son of Adappa Bayyapa, hav<strong>in</strong>g made application<br />

to Rama-Raja, <strong>the</strong> establisher of <strong>the</strong> wealth of <strong>the</strong> Karnata k<strong>in</strong>gdom, (with<br />

many o<strong>the</strong>r titles), he obta<strong>in</strong>ed <strong>the</strong> sanction of Sadasiva-maharaya to <strong>the</strong><br />

grant. (Here follow details of boundaries.)<br />

The easana was composed by Sabhapati-Svayambhu, and engraved by <strong>the</strong><br />

carpenter Viranacharya, son of Virana. (Usual f<strong>in</strong>al verses.)<br />

Deva-Raja-Oder of Maisur made, for <strong>the</strong> goddess ChamnndeSvari, a grant<br />

of <strong>the</strong> village of Gavunahalh, exempt from all taxes.<br />

Date ? 1233 A. D.<br />

In <strong>the</strong> time of Narasimha; — Madeya, son of <strong>the</strong> great feudatory Kabh<strong>in</strong>akere<br />

Hiriya-Tamma, fought bravely <strong>in</strong> Yadappa's war and atta<strong>in</strong>ed to <strong>the</strong> world of<br />

gods.<br />

(On <strong>the</strong> date specified), <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> time of <strong>the</strong> maha-mandalesvara, Tribhuvanamalla,<br />

Bitt.i-Deva, when Kanna-maharaja destroyed Kabh<strong>in</strong>akere, Echa-Gavunda<br />

and his son-<strong>in</strong>-law Manja-Gavunda fought and atta<strong>in</strong>ed to <strong>the</strong> world of gods.<br />

His three grandsons (named), <strong>in</strong> <strong>the</strong> time of Vira-Ballala (set up this stone).
