Our sample contains457 subjects, there are two main subgroups: future teachers and practising teachers. We used the followingtools for measuring personality and coping: TCI of Cloninger, Coping Style Preference, PsychologicalImmune System Inventory.According to our results there are frequent temperament ad character types among teachers. Thegoodness of fit the temperament types and requirements of profession is favourable, further more thetemperaments are guarantee the constitutional foundations of stress resistance. There are differenciesbetween future teachers and practising teachers, the essential point is the develope of mature personality.The disadvantages characteristics may reduced with the selfdevelopment, to this necessary tofortify facilities of selfcontroll and cooperation.Keywords: temperament and character, teacher, psychological immune system, coping preference
