WHO ARE WE
The ÉCOLES CRÉATIVES Network
→
→
→
→
→
The Ecoles Créatives network aims to bring together creative schools that
meet our criteria of academic excellence, performance and professional
integration.
To date, the network includes 5 schools (the Écoles Créatives): ESMA,
CINECREATIS, ETPA, IFFDEC, PIVAUT and covers a multitude of artistic fields.
3D, photography, graphic design, illustration, video games, motion design,
space design… are some of the courses offered within the schools of the
Icônes label.
The Écoles Créatives network has chosen to set up shop in cities known for
their high level of dynamism and quality of life: Toulouse, Lyon, Montpellier,
Rennes, Nantes, Bordeaux and Montréal.
One of the essential missions of our network is to enable each student
to develop a unique creative approach, a critical and analytical mind, a
committed and responsible professional attitude, and most importantly: to
learn how to learn.
To do so, we have created two new programs – the LAB and the BLOOM
system.

THE ÉCOLES CRÉATIVES LAB
The ÉCOLES CRÉATIVES Network
→
→
→
→
A research laboratory bringing together key players from the Creative
Industries and the Entertainment, research and education sectors.
Combine artistic and technological expertise in the fields of 3D and 2D
animation, video game design, concept art, cinema and design.
The aim is to experiment and create solutions that highlight the challenges
facing the Creative Industries : ecological, social, technological, etc.
By encouraging emulation, collaboration and co-creation, the LAB aims to
become a useful system for students, teachers and professionals.

THE BLOOM SYSTEM
The ÉCOLES CRÉATIVES Network
BLOOM is a cross-disciplinary personal and
professional support system developed by the
Écoles Créatives network for its students.
Its aim throughout the course is to help students:
→
→
→
→
FIND THEIR PATH
DEVELOP A PROFESSIONAL CONSCIENCE
ENHANCE THEIR BEHAVIOURAL SKILLS
ACQUIRE A PROFESSIONAL ATTITUDE THAT IS COMMITTED AND OPEN
TO THE CHALLENGES OF SOCIAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

An English-language version of the Entertainment preparatory course,
available in Montpellier and Lyon, is only intended for foreigners (non-French
speakers); the course also includes modules in French as a Foreign Language.
The English-speaking Entertainment Preparatory year is designed for non-
French-speaking foreign students who wish to train in CG Animation and
Special Effects. It has been specifically designed for students who need to
develop their drawing skills and artistic culture in order to be able to follow the
following years of the cycle in the best possible conditions.
This program combines courses in FLE (French as a Foreign Language) and
artistic training, and will be complemented by conferences presenting the
animation professions and two study trips to Paris and another French or
European border city (Barcelona or Venice).
9 sessions of 45 min of FLE are planned to learn the basics of the French
language and thus help students better apprehend daily life in France.

PREPARATORY YEAR
ENTERTAINMENT – 1 YEAR
The ÉCOLES CRÉATIVES Network
→
→
→
20 hours of art classes in English (technical drawing, anatomy drawing,
sketching, colouring, character and set design, visual arts and image
analysis, and animation-related modules: photography, volume, sequencing
and 2D animation).
Finally, two study trips are planned and fully integrated into the course and
tuition costs, to Paris and a French region or a European city in a bordering
country (Barcelona, Venice...).
This preparatory year is validated through continuous assessment, an oral
presentation of the year’s work and the final project.
