We want to say a huge well done to our Tynemet Girls captain
Brooke Henderson and vice-captain Libby Anderson who were
both selected to start for North East & Cumbria Centre of
Excellence in their win over Sale Sharks Centre of Excellence.
The remarkable accomplishments of Brooke and Libby have
earned them well-deserved recognition, filling us with immense
pride for their outstanding achievements thus far.
With their exceptional abilities, there is no doubt that Brooke
and Libby will continue to thrive throughout the season,
bringing even greater success to the team both with NEC
Centre of Excellence and at Tynemet.
We’re also excited to invite you to the second Tynemet open
event taking place at Kingston Park.
This is aimed at U16 boys and girls (school year 11) who are
rugby enthusiasts interested in pursuing a full-time rugby
programme.
The event will take place on Wednesday December 12 from
6.30pm to 8.30pm at the iconic home ground of the Newcastle
Falcons.
There’s no need to worry about signing up - simply show up at
our Tap and Tackle bar on Tuesday December 12 at 6.30pm.

CHRISTMAS
COACHING CAMPS
Places are now available for our Christmas coaching camps,
which will be held at Kingston Park Stadium over the school
holiday period.
Day one and two of the camp will run from 11am to 2pm and
includes a range of rugby skills, games and activities, which we
see as the perfect way to create a balance between learning,
improving and enjoyment.
BLYTH + ASHINGTON = BLYTON
Camps are open to boys and girls aged 6 to 14. Participants
will receive three hours of coaching from DBS-cleared, RFUqualified
Falcons Community coaches.

Our moment of the month for November is awarded to Blyth RFC
and Ashington RFC, who have combined to create Blyton RFC.
At the beginning of the season, both Blyth and Ashington were
struggling to form teams at youth level from U13s to U16s, so
together they made the decision to amalgamate both sides,
forming Blyton RFC.
The coaches are from both clubs, looking after different age
groups, where they have regular fixtures which are also shared
between the two clubs.
The newly formed club of Blyton now have 80-plus young
players attending weekly training sessions and matches. This
has allowed the continual growth of grassroots rugby. Without
this combined effort the two teams would have missed out on
the first stages of their rugby journey.
Both Ashington and Blyth RFC are active members of our Club
Connections programme, powered by Fusion for Business (FFB).
FFB helps support sports clubs on their journey to achieve net
zero through a range of programmes. Their solutions comprise
of a series of debt-free, risk-free, cost, carbon and energy-saving
measures.

range of rugby skills, games and activities as well as a gift and
a match ticket for the Newcastle Falcons v Harlequins fixture.

Jan 4: £17, 11am-2pm.
Jan 5: £35, 4pm-6pm.
