Le public peut également se brancher directement, à travers le site, sur Radio Lac
qui assure le suivi de la course; un fervent du Bol a ainsi vibré, heure par heure,
au rythme de la régate alors qu’il se trouvait à… Singapour.
Pour sa part, la rubrique «News» est alimentée tout au long du Bol par l’agence de presse Dynamics
Group, avec les faits de course, les rebondissements, des commentaires et des témoignages.
L’onglet «Médiathèque» permet, enfin, d’accéder aux photos et vidéos de la course.
Le Comité d’organisation du Bol d’Or Mirabaud organise chaque année un concours qui
récompense la plus belle photo, libre de droit, déposée sur le site. Il est ouvert à tous,
concurrent, accompagnateur, spectateur, photographe amateur ou professionnel.
… ET DES ORGANISATEURS
Le site intègre tous les paramètres nécessaires à la gestion interne de la course jusqu’aux
classements. «L’outil est actuellement très performant, commente Michel Glaus. Il nous
permet de consacrer un maximum de temps et d’énergie à la course elle-même, aux
concurrents et à tous les personnes impliquées dans l’organisation.»
Patiently developed over the past few years, the race’s website is now a multifunctional platform
providing an integral approach to the Bol d’Or for the competitors, the organizers and the
general public. Michel Glaus, Chairman of the Organizing Committee, is delighted to now have a
“fully mature” tool. “This interface not only provides access to the history of the Bol d’Or
- winners of the race, results in the different classes, photos and videos -, but also to all the
necessary information to prepare for the next race.” The website is bilingual, French and English.
SERVING THE COMPETITORS…
In the “Registration” index, from the comfort of their homes, the competitors can give all the
information required to register their entry for the Bol d’Or, such as the name of the boat and
its measurement certificate, name of skipper and each of the crew members. Using a personal
access code, the names of the crew members can be changed up to the last minute. Through the
website, it is also possible to order temporary licences delivered by the Swiss Sailing Association
(F.S.V.) and to pay the registration fee online. It therefore takes just a few clicks to complete
the registration document and dispatch it to the race’s administrative staff in the fastest time.
