The lesson flows in Big English show a suggested sequence through the various resources in the course. These lesson
flows are exactly the same in the print Teacher’s Edition and the digital Teacher Presentation Tool allowing teachers to
move seamlessly between them as they wish.
Warm-up
This is an activity which either
recycles previously learnt target
vocabulary or grammar in
a fun or game-like way, or activates
prior knowledge on a topic to get
young learners into the right frame
of mind at the start of a lesson.

This is a stage where the teacher
and students can discuss and focus
on what their learning objective for
the lesson is.

Homework
Most lessons end with a suggested
homework from the Workbook
either as a print or interactive
digital exercise. Alternatively, all
digital exercises can be assigned as
homework too.

Lesson Objective
The lesson objective is reviewed
at the end of each lesson. This is
to raise awareness of what the
students have learnt, and to give
them a sense of achievement and
progress.
